Swati Parkside Premier League, Season 01
Tournament Rules:
1) In all there are 6 Teams divided into two groups A & B.
2) Each team will play 2 League matches within their Group.
3) 2 teams from each group will play Semifinals.
4) Each Winner will get 2 Points.
5) In case two or more teams share the same points, within the group, then the NRR will be used to decide the ranking.
6) Neutral umpires from outside have been appointed for all the matches.
7) The Umpire's decision will be the last in all cases.
8) There will be a Time limit within which a single innings has to be completed. Failing to finish the innings within the stipulated time frame will result in the Penalty. The time limit will be informed later.
9) The Opponent team shall be declared a winner if the match does not start within 15 minutes of the scheduled time of their allotted match. (Committee/ Umpire needs to decide)
Match Rule (League Matches):
1) 8 over per side in the league match.
2) There will be 2 Powerplay Overs in each inning.
3) The first over will be mandatory powerplay.
4) Batting team to select the remaining 1 over as powerplay between overs 4 to 8 overs.
5) The Bowling Team can choose a Bowler once the batting team decides to take a Powerplay.
6) Only 2 players are allowed behind the bowler during powerplay.
7) A maximum of 3 players are allowed behind the bowler after the powerplay.
8) Minimum 6 bowlers to be used.
9) Any Two Bowlers can bowl max 2 overs.
10) Bowling will be overarm throw bowling. (Foot rules apply, will be explained at the time of the Match)
11) Last man can Bat but with the runner on the other end.
12) Fast balls will be considered as no balls. The umpires’ decision will be final in this case.
13) Extra runs for wide and no ball.
14) Byes and Leg byes are allowed.
15) The umpire’s decision will be final. Any arguments with the umpires will result in a penalty of 5 runs.
16) Free hit available after no ball. Only runout and Stamping will be considered during free hit.
17) Overthrow runs to be allowed including the over-throw boundary.
18) Direct catch if taken after the ball touches the top or the side nets will be considered as Not out.
19) Each team is to select 3 batsmen and 1 bowler for the super over.
20) In case of tie a. 1 super over to be played between teams.
21) In case the super over is tied then the 6 bowlers will be asked to bowl one bowl each and hit the single stump placed on the Batsman's end. The team with the maximum hits will be the winner. In case the number of Hits is the same after 6 chances than the same will continue until the sudden death.
22) Once the batter scores 50 runs will be declared as retired hurt (at the time of last wicket batter can come to bat).
23) If more than one batter scores 50 runs in an inning from a team (the captain of the team will take a call during the last wicket on which batter can go for the batting)
24) Any batter must play at least 6 balls before the captain calls for retired out. A retired “out” batsman cannot come for batting if all other batters are out before the completion of the innings.
Additional Rules for Seim Finals:
1) 10 Overs per side
2) 3 Power play Overs
3) The first 2 overs to be Mandatory Power Play Overs
4) 3rd Powerplay will be selected by the batting team between 7-10 Overs.
5) Any 4 Bowlers are allowed to bowl max 2 overs.
Additional Rules for Finals:
1) 12 Overs per side
2) 4 Power play Overs
3) The first 2 overs to be Mandatory Power Play Overs
4) 3rd Powerplay will be selected by the batting team between 6-9 Overs.
5) 4th Powerplay will be selected by the batting team between 10-12 Overs.
6) Any 6 Bowlers are allowed to bowl max 2 overs.
Bowling Rules:
1) Only overhand throw bowling is allowed. Foot Rules apply.
2) No Underarm bowling allowed.
3) No bouncer will be allowed in any match, and 1st Bouncer over the shoulder height will be a WIDE ball, 2nd Beamer/Bouncer will be NOBALL & if 3rd Bouncer is bowled Bowler will be disqualified to bowl in an inning.
4) The final call will be of umpire.
5) In case the bowler changes sides he needs to inform the umpire regarding the same or that bowl will be declared as NOBALL.
6) A fast bowl will be declared dead and the umpire will first warn the bowler and if it happens a second-time Umpire can give NOBALL. And if it happens continuously the umpire can disqualify the bowler. Fast Ball will be as per the judgment of the Umpires.
