BPL S-4 RULES
• Toss would be held 5 minutes before the start of the scheduled time.
Toss time (5.55 am)
In case the team is not available after 6.15 am, powerplay will be reduced to 2 overs, and after 6.30, there is no power play.
• If any of the teams is not available on allotted schedule, 2 points will be awarded to the
opponent team.
• Out of the initial team squad. For any reason, new players are not allowed to play in this
tournament.
• Each innings would start with a new ball. One bowler can bowl up to a maximum of 4 overs per match.
• 20 overs per side – 6 overs power play.
• A runner can be used only when a player gets injured during the innings or during fielding. A runner can not be used for a player who is injured before the start of the match / tired during the match. The runner can be used only with the discretion of the umpires depending on the reason/cause and consent from the opposition captain.
• Chucking is strictly not allowed, and if batsman at strikers or non-strikers end appeals against the action it’s left to the umpires on field, and if they and a problem they could warn the bowler. If the bowler continues with the same action, umpires could call a no-ball.
• Byes, Leg Byes and Overthrows are applicable in this Tournament. One run and an extra ball will be awarded for a no ball or a wide ball, and a free hit is applicable.
• A substitute fielder shall be permitted. The substitute player can not bowl or bat.
• It is the captain's responsibility to uphold the spirit of the game by his team.
• Mankad out is not applicable.
• Impact players' rule is applicable.
• Trophies will be presented to the best batsman, best bowler, man of the series (MVP), man of the final match, runner-up & Winning Team.
