Rules and Regulations for Tournament

1. The Tournament will be played with the (Vicky) tennis ball.

2. 11 playing members per team including two female players mandatory. Maximum team size of 20 members. Total no. of teams 10

3. There will be 2 pools of 5 teams each. 20 league matches will be held amongst 2 pools followed by Quarter-final, Semi-final and Final matches.

4. Teams need to follow floor wise distribution strictly i.e. all the team members in the squad has to be as per floor distribution. (Relaxation is only allowed for female only). If objected by opposite team, players not following floorwise distribution will not be allowed to play.

5. League Matches would be 10 overs a side, Quarter Finals would be 12 Overs, whereas Semifinal/Finals would be 15 overs a side.

6. SUPER BALL : Last ball of every over (including Female Overs) is Super Ball i.e. Run scored on super ball will be DOUBLED!! and if wicket fall on super ball, 5 runs will be DEDUCTED !

7. Ladies First : First Two complete over of the innings will be bowled by the female player and will be played by the female player of batting side ; with only 5 boys fielders on the ground i.e. total 7 players on ground including two girls during these 2 overs.

8. If any female player gets out for the first time, No runs will be deducted in case if another female player comes to bat and replace her. However, if the same female batsman continues, 3 runs will be deducted from the team’s total. Also, 3 runs will be deducted every time for next wickets.

9. During overs bowled by Female Players , In case of any wides/no-balls/dead ball bowled, the ball will be counted as legal delivery but with a penalty of 2 runs ,except for Super Ball

10. From 3 rd over; all 11 player will field including any 2 girls & opposite team boys will take charge of remaining batting overs.

11. Every Team has to compulsory use 6 Bowlers (including Female member).Two overs is mandatory for female members. In 10 & 12 overs matches maximum 2 overs per bowler is allowed to bowl whereas In 15 overs matches, maximum limit is of 3 overs per bowler

12. For Teams having one female member short. They will have to play one over short & 6 runs will also get deducted from their total score in the end.

13. For Teams having both female member short. They will have to play two over short and 12 runs will also get deducted from their total score.

14. In case of a tie, We will have a Tie Breaker, Where the teams have to nominate 3 Batsmen & 1 Bowler before the Tie Breaker and the team who bats second in a match will have a chance to bat first in Tie Breaker. If Tie Breaker is further tie, winner will be declared based on less no. of wickets followed by no. of sixes and then by no. of boundaries hit in that Match excluding Tie breaker over (Super ball is not valid here)

15. Maximum Participation: to provide fair opportunity to all players in teams. Team captain can play any batsmen/bowler/fielder during the match but within the final team composition of 20 Members but the list of batting 11 and bowling 11 must be declared by the team’s captain before the start of match. Post commencement of match no batsmen/bowler will be allowed in respective 11. Although the team is allowed to introduce extra fielder only (in case of injury). 16. After league matches, Top 4 teams will be selected based on the net run rate in case there’s equal number of points.

17. There will be no LBW decisions.

18. There would be runs for wides, no balls, overthrows, byes but not for Leg Byes.

19. FREE HIT: The ball next to any kind of No ball.

20. Decision of umpires would be final. There would be no third umpire. :-)

21. Only one bouncer (btw shoulder & head) is allowed. Ball above head height will be called as wide.

22. No Fielder is allowed to field in the straight direction of pitch (except wicketkeeper).

23. No Retired Hurt...No Replacement for Batsman

24. No Runners is allowed.

25. Teams must remain present on the ground 40min before the time of commencement of the match. If any team fails to reach by their schedule hours other team will get match points. Match referee is entitled to impose suitable penalty on respective team.

26. Players are allowed to bring their own bats. However, the organizers will also provide two standard size bats.

27. All players are required to wear Full Trouser, T-Shirts & their own (mandatory)sports shoes

28. A single player cannot represent more than one team.

29. Captain is responsible for conduct of entire team. Misbehavior by any player may result in direct suspension of the entire team

30. Every innings must be concluded in allocated time frame (League – 40 mins, Quarters – 50 mins, Semi’s / Final – 1 hour). Failing to comply, match referee is entitled to impose suitable runs penalty on respective team.

31. Fielding team can substitute its fielder by informing the Umpires anytime during the course of match.

32. Field Restriction: Minimum 2 fielders (excluding 1 bowler and 1 wicket keeper) must always be there inside inner circle.

33. In any dispute, during the match umpires & Match Referee decision will be final and binding to all.

34. Tournament will be conducted by NOKIA Noida Site Cricket/Sports Committee appointed for the purpose and the decision of the committee will be final and binding in all respects.

35. Captains are supposed to sign Rules form before match and one copy of Rules form would also be handed to them.
