INTER-AKANKSHA CRICKET TOURNAMENT

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Team Composition:

• Each team consists of ELEVEN  players.

• Teams may include students from grade 6th and 7th

• From grade 6th = 5 players 

•  from grade 7th = 6 players  .

2. Pitch Size:

• The 13 mtr long pitch* 3.05 mtr wide . The dimensions can vary based on the specific arrangement.

3. Overs:

• The number of overs per inning= 5 overs.

4. Fielding Restrictions:

• Keeper compulsory.

5. Batsmen Retiring:

• Only incase of major injury.

6. Bowling Restrictions:

• 2-1-1-1 format where one bowler can bowl 2 overs and rest 3 bowlers can bowl only 1.

• Bowler can throw the ball 

• Bowler need to stand in the box to throw the ball 

• If bowler touches the line, crosses the line than its a no ball 

• 3 drop ball considered to be dead ball 

• Below shoulder bowling not allowed or consider no ball 

7. Runs for Boundaries:

• The number of runs awarded for hitting a boundary (four or six) might be increased to encourage more aggressive play.

8. No-Balls and Wides:

• As per cricketing rules. Overthrow and extras will be counted 

• No runs for leg by

9. Dismissals:

• Cricketing rules .except leg before wicket 

10. Tied Matches:

• Tied matches may be resolved using a Super Over method.

• As per cricket rules - 2 wicket and 1 bowler 

• Chaser will bat first in super over 

11. Equipment:

• Single tennis ball

13. Man of the match after every match (winning team )

14. fighter of the match every match  (losing team )

15. Winners :- 1st place , 2nd place & 3rd place (match will be played between semi-losers)
