Field Restrictions
For women batting, only 4 fielders are allowed inside the 30-yard circle, 1 bowler and a keeper - A total of 6 can field.
A common 35-yard circle will be considered as a boundary line.
2 should field off-side and 2 should field leg-side.
Bowlers can either be on over the stumps or around the stumps. That doesn’t matter.
For men, 4 can be placed outside the 30-yard circle, 3 fielders should be inside the circle, 1 bowler and a keeper - Totally 9 can field.
During powerplay, only 2 fielders can be placed outside the 30-yard circle. So the remaining 5 should be inside the circle.
No more than 5 fielders can be on the leg side at any time which includes the bowler. This rule is applicable for both powerplay and non-powerplay overs.
In any case, only two fielders are allowed per side outside the 30-yard circle. It can be either off-side or leg-side.
If a substitute player is getting inside the field, he should field at least an over before he bowls.
Wicket Rules
Bowled, Catch, Stumping, Run out, Hit wicket
During no ball and free hit, only a run out is considered a legal wicket
For a hit wicket, unless it's a no ball, the batsman hitting the wickets directly will pay the wicket
Mandkad is not allowed.
Handling the ball will be based on the umpire's call. If he feels that it is intentional by the batsmen to save his wicket, it can be given out. Only using hands should be considered for handling the ball.
Legal Delivery Rules
Ball crossing above or outside the wide line will be a wide delivery
Ball goes over the waist of the batsmen or batswomen will be a no-ball.
Bowlers crossing the bowling crease or the side crease will be a no-ball.
Only overstepping and above the waist, no balls will be awarded free hits.
If no ball and wide happening on the same delivery, no ball should be given.
Fielders cannot move (diagonal) or talk when the ball releases the bowler's hand. If it happens, it will be a no-ball. This means, that once the batsmen and bowler are ready for the delivery, nobody should talk or move (diagonal) on the field.
If the ball pitching doubles before reaching the batsmen will be a dead ball. Batsmen can hit the ball and claim runs by running between the wickets or scoring boundaries.
If a dead ball and wide happen on the same delivery, by default it will be wide. But batsmen can claim it as a dead ball and score runs.
Dead ball is like a no ball, only run out will be considered as legal wicket.
Only one bouncer is allowed for an over. Anything more than that will be considered as wide.
If it is a first bounce and the batsman hits the ball, either it can be above the head or shoulder, it should be called a first bouncer.
If a batsman hits the ball that goes over his head or shoulder after the first bounce, it will be called a no-ball.
If he is not hitting the ball, it will be wide.
If the batsman feels the ball is over speed, he can claim it after the delivery. An extra ball will be bowled.
If the batsman claims after the ball hits the stumps or is out, the call will be given to the umpire.
Running between the wickets rule
Only 4 runs can be taken by running between the wickets.
Overthrows are allowed till the ball is dead. (for both men and women)
Note: The ball is considered dead after the ball finally settles. Whether the ball is finally settled or not is a matter for the umpire alone to decide.
