RULES
1. All employees on roll of Reliance group of companies based at VMD (incl. RPMG, R&D, PARC, ECSC, PDC, DMD etc) are eligible to participate in this tournament.
2. The tournament will be played on knock-out basis.
3. Each team will play with 11 players including 2 female players (max. 15 players 1 Team Manager).
4. The Team Manager will act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC), be in- charge of all team related communications with organizing committee.
5. A maximum of two teams from a same plant, function or department may participate in the tournament. For both the participating teams, there will be a common Team Manager.
6. A player who is hurt during the tournament will not be eligible for any Special leave(s), nor will it be considered as an on-the-job incident.
7. The player will be granted time off with prior approval from the HOD, if the cricket match is scheduled during duty hours. We kindly request HODs to plan shift schedule/ manning accordingly.
8. It is mandatory to include 2 female employees in the team.
Rule of Female Employees
• • First 2 overs will be compulsory bowled and played by female employees.
• • In an over, 1 Over will be considered by each female player (If “wide” or “No” ball, no extra ball will be allowed to bowl. For each Wide/ No ball, 1 run will be awarded to batting team.)
• • If female player is run out while taking a run, the run shall not be counted.
• • Strike will be rotated for female employees.
9. Rules for “Bowled, caught out, run out, hit wicket & stumped out” shall be the same as traditional cricket.
10. If non striker leaves the bowlers end, the bowler will warn in once and on the second occasion the bowler can run him out.
11. It is not permitted for players from the same plant, function, or department to be switched between two nominated teams.
12. LBW (Leg Before Wicket) is not applicable.
13. Bat, ball & Stamps will be arranged by the organizing committee. Other playing accessories are to be brought by the individual team.
14. During the entire tournament, in case of a tie match – “Super Over”* rule will be applicable to decide the winner.
*Super Over
• • In case a match is tied, each team will bat for two overs.
• • Only for semi-final and final if tied match, three overs shall be given to each team for batting.
• • If there is tie after super over, the winner will be decided by a toss of a coin.
15. Number of overs per innings, Maximum overs a bowler can bowl, and Match Timings rules are given below in the tabularized form.

16. Matches will start promptly at the time notified in the circular. Team not physically present will be disqualified and there shall be no grace time given. For a team to play a match minimum 9 players (Including 2 female players) must be present on the ground.
17. All matches will be governed by the existing Rules and a strict code & conduct will be enforced.
18. A five-minute change over period will be granted after completion of first innings to start second innings of the match to ensure all matches are completed in time.
19. No player at any time will be allowed to argue with the Umpires. During the course of the match, only the captain and/or Vice-Captain can approach the Umpires for any discussion and/or inquiry.
20. Decision of Umpires will be final and binding to all on the ground.
21. Players are supposed to be in full body sports attire. (Track Pant, T-shirt & sports shoes). Players coming in chappal, slippers, safety shoe & sandals or shorts / Bermuda will not be allowed to participate in the match.
22. If necessary, the organizing committee reserves the right to alter the date, time, and rules of any matches in order to maintain business continuity.
