Institute of Physics is organizing a cricket premier league from this year onwards. All the students of Institute of Physics studying in 11th and 12th as well as passed out students are participating in this annual event.

This is a 6 over box cricket match played between 6-a side team. The teams will play in a group stage pattern. This year we have 12 teams from 11th and 12th standard from the boys. We also have 1 team each from 11th and 12th from the girls. Teams are auctioned between 11th and 12th students.
In round 1 there will be 4 groups A, B, C and D respectively with each group having 3 teams. All teams will play against each other in a respective group. In the end of round 1 teams topping the table based on points and Net Run Rate will qualify for the Semi- Finals.
After Round 1 we will have 4 teams in Semi Finals where the standings of the 4 teams will be again decided based on points and NRR earned during group stages. Based on this Rank 1 team will play with Rank 4 team in Semi Final 1 and Rank 2 team will play Rank 3 team in Semi Final 2.

Winners of Semi Final 1 and Semi Final 2 will qualify for the Finals.

Format of the game will stay the same throughout the tournament.
Winner of the finals will lift the IOP Premier League 2023 Cup.
