Other Details

The rules and other details for the Box Cricket League shall be as follows:
Participation:
- Team participation.
Format: 10 over Box Cricket format
General Rules
1. There are 16 teams in the tournament and each team will be divided into two groups (A&B) and
each team will play 7 matches as per the schedule.
2. Each team shall have 10 players in the team.
3. Only 8 players will play in the match.
4. Within the main 8 players, it is compulsory to have at least one female player.
5. If in a team, there is no female playing in the match day. The opponent team will be given a
walkover with 2points.
6. Substitutes can only play if a player is injured, and the umpire will make the decision.
7. In a match Substitute can do only fielding. No Batting or bowling allowed. Female member should
replace with Female only.
8. Overs: (Detail explained in Bowling rules)
# Matches Overs
1 League Matches 10 over per innings
2 Semi Finals 12 over per innings
3 Final 14 over per innings
9. Scoring will be done on the application – Cric heroes.
10. Each winning team will get 2 points per match
11. In-case of tie Super over will be conducted, and winner will be awarded 2points.
12. The Opponent team shall be declared winner if the match does not start within 15 mins of the
scheduled time of their allotted match. (Committee/ Umpire needs to take decision)
13. For any reason a scheduled match is not played it will reschedule to reserve days only.
14. The top two teams from each group from the league will go to the Semi Finals. NRR will be
considered (App like Cric Heroes).
15. Every match in league stage must be completed in 60 minutes (i.e 30 minutes per innings.)
16. Change over time between the innings would be 5mins.
17. Slow overrate will be applicable if an innings match doesn’t finish in 30min penalty of field
restriction (Only 1 player would be allowed field at boundary).
18. A neutral umpire will be assigned for each game. Umpire's decision will be final. No arguments will
be tolerated against the umpire
19. For any field disputes, the decision taken by the field umpires will be final.
20. Foul language are strictly not allowed. All needs to maintain the decorum of the game or the team
might be disqualified.
21. To add more fun, few new rules are included:
 40 run rules (Explained in Batting rules) only for league matches.
 Bonus rules
22. Various prizes like player of the match, player of the series (Man & Woman), best batter and best
bowler of the tournament will be awarded.
23. All matches will be day and night. Matches will be between 6:00PM to 7:00PM in evening. The
exact schedule will be circulated to all the respective team’s captains at the earliest.
24. All decisions of the BaxMagic committee of the tournament shall be final and binding on all the
participating members.
25. The BaxMagic committee reserves the right to amend the rules at any point of time before/during
the tournament in the spirit of the tournament.
General Rules:
Batting Rules:
1) It is mandatory Min. One Female player must bat between batting order 1 to 4
2) Once the batter scores 40runs would be declared as retire (at the time of last wicket batter can
come to bat).
3) If more than one batter scores 40runs in an inning from a team (Captain of team will take call
during the last wicket which batter can go for the batting)
4) Any batter must play at least 6 balls before the captain call for retire. Retirement must be call
within 30secs.
5) Last batter batting not allowed.
Bowling Rules
1) Overs:

2) It is mandatory a female player must bowl Min. one over.
3) Only overhand throw bowling is allowed. No Underarm bowling allowed.
4) No bouncer will be allowed in any match, and 1st Bouncer over the shoulder height will be WIDE
ball, 2nd Beamer/Bouncer will be NOBALL & if 3rd Bouncer is bowled Bowler would be disqualified
to bowl in an innings. Final call will be of umpire. (Details mentioned in the Scoring Rules)
5) In case the bowler changes side he/she needs to inform the umpire regarding the same or that
bowl will be declared as NOBALL.
6) Bowling style would be Stand and deliver. While delivering the ball both leg must be touched on
the ground. If any of the leg is slightly or entirely on air and not touched on ground. Umpire will
call NO BALL
7) Bowling speed decision will be taken by umpire. (Warning/No Ball)
Fielding Rules 
1) First Two over: Maximum 2 fielders permitted at boundary. If more than 2 fielders are their 
Umpire can declare as NO BALL.
2) For remaining overs Maximum 3 fielders permitted at boundary. If more than 3 fielders are their 
Umpire can declare as NO BALL
3) If Bowl hits the any of the Side fences/roof and fielder catches the bowl. It will be considered as 
NOT OUT. Batters are liable to take a physical run. 
Other Rules 
A) Scoring Runs: Batting team can score runs through physical runs, Bonus, boundaries, extras. 
 1,2,3s: Batter needs to take physical runs for 1s, 2s & 3s. 
 Boundary: 
 Six: Ball hitting directly over the straight fence will be considered as SIX 
 Four: Ball hitting directly or indirectly to the straight fence will considered as FOUR 
B) Extras 
 Bonus runs: 
 If ball hits directly (Without Pitch) to side fence (Legside/Offside) Bonus 1 or 2 run 
will be counted. If batter wants to take physical runs, they can.
 WIDE Ball: 
 The ball passes wide of where the striker (Legside or Offside) is standing. 
 1st Bouncer over the shoulder height of the Bowling over will be considered as Wide, 
it will be as per the Umpire decisions. 
 Every wide ball 1 run will be counted. 
 NO BALL:
 Full toss above waist is a NO BALL
 2nd Beamer/ Bouncer over the shoulder height of the Bowling over will be NO BALL
 While bowling if bowler overstep the Side or the front line will be NO BALL
 EVERY NO BALL 1 run will be counted 
 Next ball will be Free Hit.
 Overthrow: 
 If a fielding team misfields or overthrows bowl. Batter can take the physical run.
 Byes 
 If wicketkeeper misses the bowl, batter can take the physical run. It will consider as 
byes. NO LEGBYES run allowed.
 Outs: 
 Other than LBW, all types of OUTS will be considered. (Bowled, hit wicket, Catch out, 
Runout, Stumping) 
c) SUPER OVER 
 In case of tie, super over will be conducted and rules will be same as to regular over. 
 Maximum 1 super over can be conducted per tie. 
 Batting side will be declared as out after falling 2 wickets.
