RULES AND REGULATIONS:

1. Teams shall be selected by Organising Committee from amongst the Registrations received.

2. Non-refundable Registration fees of Rs.200/- per participant (age 15 years and above) would be charged. No registration charges would be charged for women and children (age 6 to 14 years). 

3. T-shirts provided by the Organisers should be worn by all players during their respective matches.

4. All participants shall wear track pants or sports trousers while playing matches. 

5. All the matches will be played with tennis ball.

6. All Men Teams will play a minimum of 3 matches each, regardless of winning or losing their first match.

7. This is a 2-tier tournament. The Teams winning their first match will play qualifiers for Gold Cup whereas the teams losing their first match will play Qualifiers for Silver Cup.

8. Top 2 teams from each Qualifiers will play the Finals. In case of teams having equal points in the Qualifiers, the finalists will be decided on Net run-rate (to be derived on the basis of total number of runs in all matches divided by total wickets lost by the team in all matches).

9. Each team can nominate 12 players to play in any match, viz., the starting 11 and the 12th Man. The 12th man can either bat or bowl in the match, which means, he/she will be permitted to play in either innings of the match by replacing one of players in the starting 11.

10. All the matches for Men except Finals will be played as a 10 overs-a-side format. For Children and Women, the matches will be 8 overs-a-side format.

11. Finals for Gold and Silver Cup will be a 15 overs-a-side format.

12. All Matches will start at the timings mentioned in the schedule. All participants are requested to reach ground at least 30 minutes before start of their respective matches. In case of delay in start of the match due to late arrival of players or any delay attributable to:

(a) Batting team: 5 runs will be decreased from the total score at the end of the innings; and 
(b) Fielding team: 5 runs will be added to the total score of batting team at the end of the innings. 

13. If any team does not take its Position on the Field within 10 Minutes of the match start time, a walk over will be handed over to the other Team.

14. No batsman shall be given out Leg Before Wicket (LBW) and there will be no run for leg-bye.

15. All registered participants shall be required to carry their residence and photo-ID proof and produce the same to the Volunteer or Organising Committee as and when asked for the same.

16. All players should wear sports shoes with proper grip as the ground may become slippery because of dew. Shoes with spikes are not allowed.

17. Organising Committee will provide bats to the teams for batting in respective matches. All teams are requested to return the bats to the 
Organising Committee after their batting innings.

18. The Pitch distance between stumps will be approx. 21 yards and the distance from pitch to boundary will be approx. 50 meters. (Boundary 
distance from pitch will be decreased by the match officials for Women and 
Children matches).

19. The list of the 12 players will be handed over to the Scorer immediately after the match toss.

20. During the match, the teams playing the match will occupy the player’s enclosure/dugout.

21. Teams are requested to designate 1 substitute player to assist with scorer and commentator during the match.

22. Players to ensure a fun filled atmosphere as this tournament is a friendly tournament.

23. The on-field umpires shall be the sole judges of the event, in all matters concerned even in the case of ground, weather and light and will get the pitch rolled, if required (no rolling between innings).

24. No side can declare the innings unless the chasing team wins the match within the stipulated overs.

25. (a) In all matches except Gold and Silver Cup Finals, each bowler shall bowl a maximum of 2 overs each. 

(b) In Gold and Silver Cup Finals, each bowler shall bowl a maximum of 3 overs each.

26. In all matches except Gold and Silver Cup Finals, first 2 overs of the innings shall be mandatory powerplay wherein maximum 3 fielders shall be permitted to field outside the inner-circle (For Gold and Silver Cup Finals, mandatory powerplay shall be of first 3 overs). Batting team shall be entitled to take 1 over batting powerplay any time during the rest of the innings when maximum of 3 fielders shall be permitted to field outside the inner-circle.

27. Barring the powerplay overs, the fielding team shall be allowed a maximum of 5 fielders outside the inner-circle.

28. Wide balls bowled on any of the first 5 balls of each over, except last over of each innings, shall be counted as a valid ball but shall fetch the batting team 2 runs per wide ball. However, if the 6th Ball is a wide, it will have to 
be re-bowled and 1 run for the wide shall be awarded to the batting team. For last over of each innings, if any ball is a wide, it will have to be re-bowled and 1 run for the wide shall be awarded to the batting team. The pattern shall continue if the bowler keeps balling a wide or a no-ball. Stumping and run-out of a wide ball shall be considered out. While the bowler is in running mode, any fielder speaking/shouting will be given as a NO ball

29. All no-balls shall cost 1 run ( plus runs of the bat, if any) and the next ball shall be a Free Hit. A batsman cannot be given out of a free-hit except for a run-out. 

30. Any bowler found “chucking” during the over will be warned once and the Captain shall be informed about the same. A repeat of the incident will lead to his over being terminated. Another bowler of the team can continue the 
over provided his stipulated number of overs have not been completed. The terminated bowler will not be allowed to bowl further in the tournament.

31. The umpires may allow a maximum of 1 drink break during each inning.

32. The organizers reserve the right to change any rules of the matches/tournament prior to start of the match and the organizers decision shall final in all aspects in the tournament. Changes, if any will be notified to the captains on the day of the match.

33. Decisions of the Umpires shall be binding on the teams in case of any dispute arising in or out of the matches.

34. All participants are requested to read all rules carefully before start of their respective matches
