ANNUAL INDOOR - WINTER 2024

1. SCHEDULE:

- Tournament Duration: 9 Weeks (January 28, 2024 - March 31, 2024)
- League Matches: 8 Weeks (14 Games/Team)
- FINALS: Week 9 (March 31, 2024) (1:00 PM 3rd Place, 2:00 PM Finals)
- Match Timings: 12:00 PM - 4:30 PM
- Practice Timings: 11:30 AM - 11:55 AM

2. REGISTRATION FEE: $50/Player

3. TOTAL TEAMS: 5

- Maximum Players Participating in a game: 10
- Maximum Fielders in the Team: 9
- No Batting for the last man. (Max 9 Wickets)
- Switching of Registered Players: 
  - Allowed only after the Voting of the Captains (Total 5 Votes)
  - A New Registration Fee of $50.00 must be paid for the new player.
  - A 50% registration fee refund will be credited to the player being switched.

4. WEEK 9: March 31, 2024 (Finals)

- The top 2 teams on the Points Table will Play in the Finals.
- In case of a tie on points, the team with the higher NRR (Net Run Rate) will be the preferred team.
- Teams 3 & 4 will Play for the 3rd Position.

5. TOURNAMENT AWARDS: (Based on 5 Teams) 

- Best Batter: Most Runs Scored($100)
- Best Bowler: Most Wickets Taken ($100)
- Best Fielder: Most Catches Most Run Outs ($100) 
- MVP (Most Valuable Player) ($150)
- Championship Team - ($500)
- Runner Up Team - ($250)
- Championship Trophy:
  - Special Note: The Championship trophy is the sole property of Cricket Moncton and will only be awarded for Photography purposes and must be returned to the Management of Cricket Moncton.

6. MATCH START TIME:

- All Matches will start at the posted time; a minimum of four (4) players must be present to start a match from a given team.
- The window to start a given match is the Start time 10 Minutes. Any delay beyond that window will result in the match being awarded as a Walkover or Abandoned.
- If players are late, missing, or on their way within the first 10 minutes of the start time, the match will be awarded to the team with a minimum of four (4) players present as a Walkover in the 11th minute.
- If a minimum of four (4) players from both teams are not present, the match will be Abandoned, and the points will be shared.

- Player showing up late after match starts are subject to batting or bowling restrictions based on the number of overs and balls missed. There is no fielding restrictions for late players.

If a player shows up late after 5 overs then the player from batting team cannot Bat and from bowling team cannot bowl.

7. RESCHEDULING:

- There is no rescheduling of matches from Week 1 to Week 8, except in cases of Bad Weather (Ice Storm, Snowstorm, etc) or for Week 9 Matches, 3rd Position, and Finals.

8. BOUNDARY (4's & 6's):

- When the ball touches the back wall, only then the boundary is awarded.
- A fielder can touch the boundary and prevent the ball from touching the back wall.
- When the ball touches the ceiling or any fixture attached to the ceiling or on the side walls and reaches the boundary, it's considered four (4).
- When the ball hits the back wall without bouncing, it's awarded as a six (6).
- Door Frame near boundary, either 1st or 2nd is awarded as a four (4).
- ** Fielding Restriction: Max 2 Players behind the (White Line) are allowed as a playing condition of all of the matches.  

9. BOWLING:

- A maximum of two (2) overs per bowler is allowed, except when a team has only four (4) players.
- Bouncers: Only 1 ball is allowed above the shoulder height per over. The 2nd Ball above shoulder height is considered a "No Ball."
- Wide Ball: When the ball touches the White Marking Lines, it's a Wide Ball, unless the batsman moves from leg side to offside.
- No Ball: If the Bowler bowls more than (2) balls over hip height in the same over, another bowler must complete the over.
- Dead Ball: Various scenarios can result in a Dead Ball.

10. BATTING:

- The last Batsman is NOT Allowed. 
- Retirement of Batter: 
  - A Batter can be "Retired Hurt" due to injury as per the discretion of the Umpires.
  - A Batter can be "Retired Out" only after facing a total of 12 balls.
