SKA Salem U14 Open Tournament Rules and Regulations
Cut off date for men the tournament is 01-09-2009. For women 01-09-2007
This is a league cum knock out tournament. 3 teams will participate each group with 2 league games and top one team will qualify for the semi finals.
All matches will be limited to 30 overs each. It must be bowled within 2 hrs 10 minutes. 
All matches will be played at Neelambal School (Turf).  
Two matches per day will be conducted . First match will be at 8 AM and the second match will be at 1 PM. 
2 super subs will be allowed. They have to be named before the toss.
First 8 overs of powerplay – only 2 fielders allowed outside the 30 yard circle. From over 9 to 30 – four fielders should be inside the 30 yard circle. 
Points during league stage : Win – 4 Tie - 2 and Draw (Unfinished) - 1 
Each bowler is allowed to bowl 6 overs.In reduced overs 1/5th of total allotted overs.
Minimum of 5 overs a side constitutes a match in the league stages. Unfinished match due to rain will be taken as a draw.
During the knock out stage including the finals if the match is delayed due to rain the match shall be reduced to a minimum of 5 overs. If both sides do not complete the minimum overs then the result will either be decided by the league stage win or the trophy will be shared. In case of an unfinished match after completing the minimum overs the winner will be decided by the Strike rate. Strike rate = No of runs scored/Overs used. 
In case of a tie in the knockout stage including the finals, the number of balls played by each team will be taken into consideration and the team which played the lesser number of balls will be declared as winner.
In case of a tie in the knockout stage including the finals, if the number of balls played by each team is equal, then the team which lost lesser number of wickets will be declared as winner.
In case of a tie in the knockout stage including the finals, if both the number of balls played and the wickets lost by the teams are equal then the result will be decided either by the league stage win or trophy will be shared.
In case of teams ending up with the same number of points in their group, their strike rate will decide their place for the finals. Strike rate = No of runs scored /no of overs used. If the team is all out, then the full quota of overs will be taken for calculation of strike rate.
Any short pitch ball which goes above the shoulder height of a batsman in his normal standing position will be called a NO BALL after one such delivery in an over.
Any short-pitched ball which passes the striker above his head will be called a WIDE and full toss above waist height also will be called a NO BALL.
There are no free hits for no balls.
All matches will be played with Red balls. 
Umpire decision is final and binding. Questioning umpires decisions will not be encouraged.
Teams should be present half an hour before scheduled time.
