Crescent premier league TOURNAMENT 2023 – 28 October 2023, Saturday (11AM to 11 PM)

Match rules and other details for MENS TEAMS shall be as follows:

 

1.      A match will be played with 10 players a side, decided and named before the toss.

2.      All players playing the game must be from the list provided at the time of registration.

3.      Each team will bowl 6 overs and bat 6 overs.

4.      One player can bowl max 1 over in an inning

5.      A new ball will be given to each team for their first match.

6.      No ball call will be taken by umpire with respect to full toss ball above waist height if batsman play in the crease.

7.      Front foot crease or side crease (Full leg outside and not just touching the lines) will be considered as No ball and 1 run will be given.

8.      Any ball that passes outside the side line will be considered wide unless it touches any part of the body of the batsman(except leg side) One run will be awarded to the batting team for a wide

9.      One run will be awarded to the batting team for a no-ball, no free hit for no balls.

10.  Overthrows are allowed to run. 1 run will be declared as extra runs if the overthrow goes outside the playing area.

11.  No ball in case of ball touches the ground before no line.

12.  Underarm bowling is only allowed, (sidearm & upper arm & Fast & throw bowling is not allowed).

13.  One run is declared if the ball goes outside of the playing area over the legs of the arch or stuck in the net (other than boundaries)

14.  In case of a tie in league matches decision would be taken based on net run rate.

15.  In case of tie in other than league match each team will bowl and bat a super over for the knockout matches to decide a winner. In case of tie in super over, again team will bat a bowl super over (Baller and Batsman of first super over cannot be repeated)

16.  If the balls directly hit to the upper nets area it will be considered out. (side nets will not be covered under this rule).

17.  Maximum 3 fielders will be allowed at the boundary. While fielding, maximum 5 fielders would be allowed behind the non-strike stumps other than bowler and remaining all the players will be fielding ahead of non-strike stumps. If there will be any breach in the above rule, the delivery will be given as NO BALL. Umpire’s decision would be considered as final decision.

18.  Wicket keeper is compulsory

19.  Strike will not change in case of Catch Out.

20.  If captain have any doubts or query with respect to rule he may ask to umpire at the time of toss.

21.  Both the opener and third batsman cannot ball in the match they open as batsman

22.  Every team will get 15 minutes to complete their inning and it is responsibility of Captain to manage this otherwise overs or runs will be reduce in case of delaying the inning.

23.  Team has to present on ground 30mins before their match

24.  Runners will not be allowed unless there is an on ground physical injury to the players and the batting team will have to take consent from captain of fielding side. Umpire’s decision would be considered as final decision.

25.  Byes and Leg byes run are allowed other than deliberate

26.  Usage of Fibre bat not allowed

27.  Track pant and shoes are compulsory

28.  In case of fast bowling, only batsman can request umpire to consider or if umpire feel so

29.  After Semifinal winning Team will be ranked in position of 1,2 and 3 as per cricheroes app considering NRR and Eliminators will be played i.e. 1 vs 2 winner will qualify for final and loser of the match will play with 3^rd ranked team. And winner of 2 vs 3 will be qualify for final.  

30.  Rest all rules as per ICC

Other rules

1.      On field Umpire decision will be final. Only captain is allowed to talk with umpires

2.      Neutral umpires are assigned for the tournament.

3.      In case of fast bowling, only batsman can request umpire to consider or if umpire feel so

4.      Any objection to the movement of bowler arm shall be dealt by the Umpires.

5.      One (1) player of every team will have to sit with the scorer to avoid any dispute

6.      All players are expected to be courteous to each other and with the officials

7.      Arguments with umpire may lead to player/team disqualification. This will be strictly followed.

8.      All the matches will be played on the same day.

9.      Matches will be played with tennis ball; players are requested to come in sportswear. Without sports shoes players will not be allowed inside the playing area.

10.  We have allotted 30 minutes max side for one match both the captain will be ensure that match will be finish in allotted time.

11.  Management have full right to reduce/increase the overs at any point of time, if matches will not be completed on time.

12.  Organisers reserve the right to call off the tournament incase of any adverse circumstances including bad weather, unwanted dispute etc.

13.  Any other scenario not covered above shall be dealt by the umpire and organisers. Their decision shall be final.

14.  Team names would be suggested by captain of respective team. Incase of any conflict organiser can change team name.

15.  Captains can discuss rules with organiser before starting of the match.

16.  Score decided by scorer would be final.

17.  No Fibre bat allowed

 

Specific instructions to Captains:

1.      It is the responsibility of the captain to ensure that the team is present at the location atleast an hour before the scheduled / start of the game.

2.      In case of any dispute / discussion / clarification, only the captain has a right to discuss the same with Coordinators / Umpires as the case may be. Other players should strictly refrain from any such discussion / argument etc.

3.      It is the primary responsibility of the captain or team member to ensure that the team members are aware of the aforementioned rules.

4.      Matches should be played as per the schedule

5.      Any team found doing nuisance will be disqualified

6.      All the team members should wear shoes and track pants which is mandatory.
