Cricket (Mixed Team)
1. The matches would be played with the Hard Tennis ball.
2. Matches will be held on VDS India declared holidays/ Saturdays and Sundays based on a draw of lots.
3. Matches will be held on a knock out basis throughout the tournament.
4. Each team should have a minimum of 2 women players and Playing XI should comprise of 9 men and 2 Women.
5. Overs Per Game:
● 6 overs (max 2 overs per bowler) during the knockout stages and pre quarters.
● 6 overs (max 2 overs per bowler) for Quarters.
● 8 overs (max 3 overs per bowler) during the semis.
● 10 overs (max 3 overs per bowler) during the finals.
6. In every match first over to be bowled by the Woman player and the wicket keeper will be a women / Men player.
7. While batting, if a batswoman scores a run, the score will be as it is. For example, if she scores 2 runs, 2 runs will be added to the score.
8. Women Bowling : One over will be bowled by the women bowler and only batswomen should bat.
9. Women Batting : One over will be played by the batswomen and only women bowler should bowl.
10. By-runners for the women or anyone is not allowed. Only subject to injury and on umpires decision along with opponent captains approval by-runner is allowed.
11. In case if the Batswomen get all out, the remaining balls in the first over will NOT be bowled and the over is forfeited.
12. Fielding restrictions for women over: Maximum men fielders allowed on the ground are 3 players.
13. Fielding restrictions: Maximum fielders allowed on the leg side (including the bowler) 5 players.
14. Each team will consist of 14 players (at least two women) out of which any eleven (at least two women) will play a particular match. No changes to the team composition beyond the 14 players are permitted. If any team is found to violate this rule, then the team would be disqualified from the event.
15. For the women players, all the cricketing rules apply.
16. Women players must be on the field for the maximum overs when their team is fielding. The women player can be substituted only by another women player.
17. If a team cannot field 1 or 2 women players, there will be a penalty of 6 runs per each woman player not fielded and the team would field with 10 or 9 players respectively.
18. NO EXTRA ball will be bowled for the NO BALLS and WIDES in the knockout stages and pre-quarters. The score for the no ball and wide will be as follows:- a. Step-on no ball - 6 runs b. Height no ball - 6 runs c. Wide - 4 runs
19. From Quarters we would have the regular cricket rules for No Ball and Wide i.e. 1 run for a no ball and wide along with a re-ball. A step-on no ball would draw a free hit to the batting team(applicable for women over also).
20.There would be no leg byes and no leg before wicket.
21. Players should be on field for a minimum of 2 over’s to be eligible for batting.
22. Retired hurt is not allowed. In case the player knows he has an injury, he can avoid being part of playing 11 before the match. If a player is retiring in between due to any reason, he will be considered as Retired OUT(won't be able to play again).
23. Chucking the ball is not allowed. In-case the bowler is chucking the ball the opponent batsman needs to claim it and no one else outside(teammates is not allowed) to claim the same. Umpire will decide if it is chucking or not based on the on-field claim and once decided, the bowler is not allowed to re-bowl for that entire match and the previous ball will be announced as NO-BALL.
24.There will be no rematch scheduled unless the first session is completed and the second is mid-way and play is halted due to a natural calamity. In other scenarios, the VZ Sports India decision will be the final.
25. In case the number of players of a particular team reporting for a match is less than 11, the team will be permitted to play the match so long as at least 7 players are available to start the match. In case the number of players reporting is less than seven, the opponent team will be given a walk over.
26.Ground, officials, marking and balls will be provided by the organizers. Teams will need to bring their own playing kits.
27. In case of a tie, the result would be based on SUPER OVER**. ** A Super Over is an eliminator, wherein each team gets an extra over to be played by 3 nominated batsmen and 1 bowler. The team scoring the maximum runs in their Super Over is declared winner.
28.Teams are advised to report 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time at the venue to the organizer.
29. If a team does not turn up or report to the organizer within 15 minutes of the scheduled match start time, then walkover would be awarded to the opponent team.
30.GUSTO Sports group can accept a request for a match reschedule for official commitments only. In case the match cannot be rescheduled as per the request, then the decision of GUSTO sports group is final.
31. All team members must wear sports shoes on the field.
32.Players with shorts/ short pants will not be allowed to enter the field.
33.Any other change in rule / guidelines will be informed to the captains before the start of the match.
