A player who has played in one team is not allowed to play in another team.
Each Team would be given a new ball for the group stages.
In case a ball is being lost or broken, the team will be issued with a replacement ball.
League matches would be of 12 over & Final will be of 20 over.
Power Play not applicable, (During an innings a maximum of only 5 fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle, failure to do so during a delivery of a ball would be called as a No-ball by the umpire.)
Minimum of 9 players is required from a team to start the match. Failure to do so would yield a walkover to the opposition team. Remaining players must arrive within 5 over. In case of a failure only the fielded 9 would be allowed to bat.
Umpiring panel and scoring panel will be decided by the tournament committee.
On-field umpire’s decision would be the final one
It is captain’s responsibility to uphold spirit of the game by his team.
Any prolonged argument by a team, would yield a walkover to the opposition team based on the decision by umpires and organizers.
If any team walks out of the ground on protest during the playtime, the team will be disqualified from the tournament.
If any team misbehaves or abuses the umpires inside the field or outside the field during the match, the team will be disqualified from the tournament.
In match if a tie happens Super over would be held.
Rules for super over
The team batting second in the match will bat first in the Super Over.
3 Batsmen from each team can bat and 1 bowler from each team will bowl
Entire fielding unit is allowed to field.
Any requests for change of match timings will not be entertained.
In matters of doubt not covered by the tournament rules, the decision of the tournament committee will be final and binding upon all concerned as per the standard rules
Batsman Rules: (ALL ICC RULES WILL BE APPLIED)
LBW- ICC rules shall be applied for lbw
All “no-balls” (As per ICC rules: front foot, side-line, above the waist, Fielding restriction etc) result in a free hit in the next delivery, where field can be changed only if the batsman has crossed over or no ball is due to Field restriction
Any batsman injured during the innings will be allowed to retire hurt and will be allowed to continue at any point after the fall of the next wicket.
Initial 11 only can bat during the match.
Bowling Rules (regulations are as follows)
12 Overs match, Maximum 3 overs for 2 bowlers. Maximum 2 overs for 3 bowlers.
20 Overs Match, Maximum 4 overs per bowler.
One bouncer is allowed per over, provided the ball passes between the shoulder and the head while the batsman is in an upright position, However, ball passing over the head will be declared as a wide.
If the first bouncer is above head height and batsman gets out or scores runs, then it’s considered as first bouncer and it’s considered as a legal delivery. Also, batsman would be declared out or scored runs would be counted respectively.
Free hit is allowed for all No balls (all foot no-balls, above waist no-balls, no balls due to fielding restriction or some other reason)
Foot no –ball can be called on following conditions
If the bowler bowls without some part of the front foot either grounded [first grounding point] or in the air behind the popping crease
If the bowler back foot touches or crosses the return crease. g) No -ball could also be called
If the bowler bowls more than one bouncer per over
Any delivery, which passes or would have passed on the full above waist height of the striker standing upright at the crease
In case if a bowler chucks during his action of bowling.
If field restriction rules are not followed as per the guidelines
If the bowler starts the over/ changes the side of the wicket from which he bowls without telling the guard to the umpire.
Fielding Rules (regulations are as follows)
During the course of bowling action, fielders other than wicketkeeper are allowed to move only in forward direction but not on sideways. Umpire can call it as No ball, if this rule is violated causing distraction.
During the course of bowling action, fielders including wicketkeeper are not allowed to make any noise which distracts the batsman. Umpire can call it as No ball, If the fielders are making such noise
The umpires shall have discretion to allow, for wholly acceptable reasons, a substitute fielder to act for a nominated player, at the start of the match, or at any subsequent time
If the player is absent from the field for longer than 5 over, the player shall not be permitted to bowl or bat
Code of Conduct
All matches will be conducted in the true spirit of the game of Cricket. All Club participants, being Officials, Umpires, Team Managers, Coaches, Captains, players, spectators and others will adopt this policy.
Zero Tolerance: Players should be aware that Zero Tolerance to misconduct or behaviour referred to in the Code of Conduct will be exercised in the Tournament.
No participant will, whilst in attendance at any match, whether on or off the field of play, engage in conduct unbecoming to the game of cricket, as defined in this code.
Participants will 1) respect the Umpire 2) generally assist the Umpire in the carrying out of his duties 3) not verbally abuse any Umpire 4) not physically abuse any Umpire 5) comply with the Umpire’s decision, and in so doing when dismissed, move off without reaction, including a disapproving or threatening manner, argument or dissent
Participants will not 1) verbally abuse any other participant 2) physically abuse any other participant 3) indulge in sledging opposition players, that is, by word or action, either directly or indirectly, try to intimidate or upset a player 4) indulge in loud unseemly behaviour, which will include swearing which can be heard by those off the field.
Player safety
It is the responsibility of each person for his/her own safety exception given to young players
It is the responsibility of the captain and the senior players to take care of any young players (any players under the age of 18).
It is advised that all players use protective gears while on the field especially the use of helmets. It is mandatory for any players under the age of 18 to wear a helmet and necessary protective gears while batting and on the field.
Any players under the age of 18 should not field within 6 meters from the cricket pitch unless he/she is a wicket keeper.
Reporting Time - Team should report 30 minutes prior to the scheduled match start time.
Toss would be held 15 minutes before the start of the scheduled time. In case of delay in start of the match due to late arrival of teams.
Delay up to 5 minutes, 1 over will be reduced per side
Delay up to 10 minutes, 2 overs will be reduced per side
Delay beyond 15 minutes, match will be awarded to the opposition team.
