Knockout Cricket Tournament Rules & Regulations

1.       The tournament would be played on Knockout basis and the format will be Eight Over cricket. However, the tournament committee reserves the right to shift the venue or revise the format under unavoidable circumstances.

3.       Each team will be required to furnish the names of the players representing them on the registration form during the time of registration. Https://bit.ly/BRW_Knockout

4.       Tournament committee have the right to request for additional ID proofs if the submitted ID proof being found suspicious.

5.       Each team should nominate a minimum of 11 and maximum of 13 players who would represent their team.

6.       Fixtures will be given to the teams in advance by the tournament committee.

7.       It is mandatory to wear pants and shoes during the game. Any players not doing so will not be allowed to play the match.

8.       First aid kits will be available to treat any injuries sustained while playing. Tournament Committee will not be responsible or be liable for any injuries.

9.       Refreshments and Water will be served during the tournament.

10.   Captain should handover the list of players prior to match to umpires and Cric Hero App.

11.   If one team is ready and the other team is not ready to take the field at the scheduled start of play, the overs of the team not ready will be reduced at the rate of full 4 minutes per over irrespective of they are batting first or second. The team which was ready will get their full quota of overs. The decision of umpires will be final in such an event.

12.   Minimum 5 overs are required to constitute a match. If a match being called off without the minimum required overs being bowled, the winner should be decided by the below rules.

·         Step 1: One over eliminator. If the result is tied or it is not possible, the winner shall be decided by Step2.

Step 2 - Bowl out Method. If the result is tied or it is not possible, the winner shall be decided by Step 3 - By Spin of a Coin.

·         If a game is stopped due to bad weather, or due to any unavoidable reasons beyond the control of tournament committee, the match will be called off.

13.     The tournament committee reserves the right to reduce the overs if, in its opinion, there is no sufficient time to complete the overs. If there is any interruption before the scheduled start, or during the match, the overs shall be reduced at 4 minutes per over.

14.     No bowler will be allowed to bowl more than 2 of the total overs in an innings, Maximum of 3 bowlers to complete 2 Overs. The balls to be used will be the ones provided by the Tournament Committee. Change of ball during play will be at the sole discretion of the umpires.

15.   No spiked footwear shall be permitted in the entire tournament

16.   A runner for a batsman when batting is not permitted. The umpires shall have the discretion to allow, for other wholly acceptable reasons, a substitute fielder to act for a nominated player, at the start of the match, or at any subsequent time

17.     No player can play for more than one team in the Tournament.

18.   All scoring would be done in Cric Hero App & Live on Facebook/Instagram Social Media Pages of Bahrain Royal Warriors. The official match scorer’s notations will be considered as final.

19.   Umpires will be posted by the tournament committee on the field during play, the decision of the umpires would be final and binding on all players.

20.   No Leg Before Wicket (LBW) wickets not allowed, No Free Hit based on No Balls, No Dead Balls

21.   Re-bowling allowed only for wickets happened if the bowl found damaged right after the wicket.

22.   One Impact Player during the Match is allowed upon prior information to the umpires before the start of second innings.

23.   Substitutions of players allowed only upon injury and upon informing the Umpires, No substitute player can Bowl during the match.

24.   Only 6 Person allowed in the Leg side of the batsman during the game including the bowling position of the bowler.

25.    First 2 overs mandatory power play & only 2 players allowed to field outside the 30 yard circle during the power play.

26.   Tournament fee to be paid in advance by cash or Benefit pay (+973 35352773) prior to the team fixture.

27.   There will be trophies distributed to Winners,Runners, Best Batsmen of the Final, Best Bowler of the Final, etc.

28.     The tournament committee reserves the right to frame/ change/ modify any of the rules at any stage of the competition if found necessary.
