Box Cricket Rules

1.   Team must consist of 5 Male players and 2 Female players.

2.   The Maximum number of overs will be 7 per innings.

3.   Match will be played using Light Cricket Tennis ball.

4.   The bowling method will be Over Arm throw only for male players. Female players can choose their bowling method (Over arm or Under arm).

5.   Only Female players should open the batting innings.

6.   First 2 overs should be played completely by Female player irrespective of their wicket. If they lose both the wickets within 2 overs, then (-2 run) negative run for batting team if they opt to continue batting to complete first 2 overs. Eg., If final score is 50 for batting team, Opponent team will start with their initial score of 2 runs.

7.   Female player should be given first 2 overs for bowling and only Female player should face the entire first 2 overs.

8.   If the ball stuck in the roof of the net, it is considered a dead ball.

9.   A ball caught after hitting the roof or side wall is not considered as a wicket. Only direct catch is considered as wicket.

10. Only Straight wall is considered for 4s and 6s.

11.  Ball hitting side wall or roof and touch the straight wall will be considered as 4 runs.

12.  No LBW rule, no leg bye and no overthrow.

13.  All other cricketing rule applies. Byes, no ball, free hit applies.

14.  Any bowler can bowl maximum of 2 overs only.

15.  If ball hitting the umpire in follow through, 2 runs will be added to batting team.

16.  In case of any discrepancies/concerns, Only Captains should discuss with umpire and Umpire decision is final.
