For winning the game: 2 points
Win the game within 10 overs (Bonus): 2 Points
Jersey points: 1 point
3. If the match is abandoned for rain or any other causes points will be divided by 1 point each (If the game doesn’t start).
4. Interruption of the running match for rain or light or any natural cause: Will be using ICC updated format to decide the result (DLS). Opposite Team must play at least 6 overs using DLS (Duckworth-Lewis-Stern) method. Otherwise, points will be divided by 1 each.
5. The game will be conducting 20 overs each inning with the first 6 overs power play, where only 2 players can be outside of the 30 yards of the circle and 5 players after the powerplay but the team must keep the 9 inside during the powerplay and 4 inside after the power play.
6. No game will take place with less than 8 players being available even if the captains agree.
7. Each team must have 8 players ready at the ground on time before the toss. The toss will be done 15 mins prior to the game schedule. Less than 8 players team will face a delays penalty which will be decided by the umpire.
8. Players need to play at least 3 league games to participate in the Semi-final and Final. If any player is found to be playing without following the NYCL rules, the whole team will be disqualified for that match and the opposite team would win the game.
9. If any player uses any abusive words on the ground against any player, Umpire, or any other person related to the League, action will be taken against him. That could be banned, a financial fine, or any other decision made by the Management that must be followed. If you don’t comply your team will be banned forever.
10. If any team walks off the field of play without the innings or the game being fully concluded, the guilty team will be deducted 6 points along with the captain of the guilty side to serve a 2 Match ban including £100 fine.
11. “Mankad out” will be observed seriously. We will not consider or request the bowler or captain to rethink it. If you are out it will mean you are out.
12. All the players must be on the ground during the toss time. Umpire will not see or find out who is walking into the ground or who is in the washroom. So, please take this into account before requesting. At least 8 players must be ready during the toss time.
13. Above all, Umpire's decision will be the final decision and all the teams must accept that but if you have any concerns you can write to us through email.
14. Game duration would be 80 mins per innings and not more than 10 mins break. But, for incidents or any circumstances, the umpire can add an extra maximum of 10 mins per inning. And, those extra 10 mins will be played following the powerplay rules. (Please see rule no- 5)
15. If a team cannot finish their innings within the time including extra mins, the umpire will decide which team is responsible for the delay, and run or overs will be deducted.
16. Home team must bring the equipment for making the ground ready for playing. If the home team forgets or doesn’t bring the stumps by any chance and it causes a delay in the game, the home team will lose 1 point either you win or lose the game. On top of it, overs will be deducted for the delay according to the duration. Finally, if the home team can’t arrange stumps in any way, they will lose the game.
17. “Batsman timed out” When one batsman is out, you will have only 2 mins to get into the ground and take your place. Failing to do so, the batsman will be declared as timed out. So, please be careful with this rule and follow this as the batsman umpire will check your check-in time.
18. Please do not use metal spikes on the mat, it is strictly prohibited by the council. You can use rubber spikes if you want to.
