*RULES AND REGULATIONS OF MPL SEASON 5* 

1. This tournament will be played at Haricharan school, Nizamabad on 22nd, 23rd of April, 2023 at 6:31 pm(day and night) 

2. Twelve (12) teams will be participating to win the title.

3. Based on draws, 12 teams will be divided into 4 groups. Every group to have 3 teams. Group A, B, C, D. 

4. Every team will atleast get two(2) league matches to play i.e against the other 2 teams within that group. 

5. The table topper from each group to qualify for the semi finals. (if all the 3 teams in a group win 1 match each then the table topper will the decided based on the *NET RUN RATE* calculated by *CRICHEROES*) 

6. In case of tie, there will be SUPER OVER with same rules.

7. Top 4 teams from each group will qualify into semifinals . 

8. Semi-1: Group A TT vs Group D TT

Semi-2: Group B TT vs Group C TT

9. FINAL-SEMI 1 WINNER VS SEMI 2 WINNER

10. All the games will be played with *HARD TENNIS BALL.* 

11. League matches will be 8 overs match, semis and final will be 10 over match. 

12. Umpire decision would be considered the final decision. In case of any umpiring errors or any other disputes, NZMYS decision would be the final decision.

13. Only MAHESHWARI samaj players are allowed. 

14. Respective teams with playing 10 have to report 45 mins before their match slot.

15. Toss for each match will be held 30 minutes before the schedule time.

16. At the scheduled time of the match, both teams should be ready with the playing 10 players

a. if not available, other team will be given walk over STRICTLY.

b. play with player short. 

17. New Hard Tennis Ball will be given to bowl at the start of each innings.

18. No player can be changed after the auction selection without the consent of NZMYS. 

19. If any player got replaced, you must inform and get it validated with NZMYS as soon as possible . Last moment changes will not be entertained. Strictly will have to play with player short. So please confirm the availability of your playing 10 before the draws. 

20. Sports shoes and track (black in colour) is compulsory at all times during playing the match.

a. Casual / Formal shoes will not be entertained.

b. Shorts / Three-Fourths / Bermudas are strictly not entertained.

c. Any player in that attire has to leave the field immediately.

21. Complete team need to wear same colour T-Shirts as provided by the NZMYS.

22. Minimum of 5 bowlers to be used ( maximum 2 overs can be bowled by 3 bowlers in league matches, and in semis and finals maximum 2 overs can be bowled

by each bowler ) 

23. Extras runs for wide/No ball. (Next ball of the no ball will be free hit & Batsman is not out on this ball except run out)

24. No extra runs for Leg byes.

25. Extra Runs are applicable for Overthrow for the entire ground.

26. Umpire Decisions are final. Arguments lead to disqualification; *strictly* only captains are allowed to discuss any point with 

Umpires/Organisers.

This tournament is aimed towards better cricket in our community and more awareness towards the sport, hence it is our responsibility to ensure the smooth flow of the matches , so that in the end CRICKET wins and there are regular tournaments scheduled. So we really hope that all the captains/owners co-operate and make this tournament a grand success.
