Kitchener League 2023 Rules and Guidelines:

Dates and Time
  • Every Saturday 9:00am to 12:00pm
  • April 2023 to November 2023

  • $50 for complete season

Rules and Regulations:
  1. Matches will start at scheduled time, please be at the ground 15 minutes prior to your game
  2. Toss will be 5 minutes before scheduled time.
  3. Minimum 4 players must be on the field to toss or start the game.
  4. All extras will have runs like wides, no ball, overthrows, byes, and leg byes
  5. A team is all out when 10 wickets have fallen i.e., there is no “last man standing”.
  6. Mankad rule will apply and will be enforced.
  7. One player can play only with one team
  8. White shirt or pant not allowed
  9. Any batsman retired hurt or for any reason discontinue the batting then he will not be able to come back again for batting and will be considered out
  10. There would not be any LBW rule
  11. Each win will get you 2 points or a draw 1 point each, however if two or more teams have same points in their pool matches then it will be decided based on Net Run Rate. See clarification section
  12. All matches are 10 overs each and a bowler can bowl a max of 2 overs in the match
  13. A batsman can have a runner in case of injury, subject to the permission of umpires
  14. In case of a rain and match not possible then each team will be rewarded 1 point each. If condition improves or time allows, then 5 overs game must be played. Max 30 mins shall be a waiting time
  15. There will be a Free Hit for a no ball. Free hit is allowed for overstepping only
  16. One bouncer is allowed in an over with a warning above the shoulder. Bouncer over the head or un-reachable distances will be declared a wide ball plus a warning for above the shoulder delivery
  17. Any bowler out of match for 2 or more overs for any reason will have to wait for 2 overs to bowl again, in the match again
  18. Incomplete matches or tie matches due to weather or any matter, all will be considered a draw with 1 point to each team however; if 5 overs are completed in the second team batting then decision of win or lose shall be taken based on first 5 overs runs of both teams and if score is equal then team with a smaller number of wickets fallen will be considered a winner
  19. Matches drawn on equal scores. Super over of 6 balls will be used. If again draw then both teams will be awarded 1 point each, regardless
