In the league matches, the winning team gets 4 points and the losing team gets 0 points. In case of a tie, each team will get 2 point (no re-match will be considered in case of a tie).
If two or more teams end up with same number of points after league matches, their position in the table will be decided by the following precedence.
From all the 5 groups (A, B, C, D, E) top two teams from the respective groups will qualify into Super 10.
Super 10 will be a knockout round with five matches and winners will get a chance to qualify for the next round i.e. semi-finals.
Top 3 teams (based on NRR) from Super 10 round will qualify for the semi-finals. Teams with rank 4 and 5 will have a match and winner of that match will qualify as a fourth team in the semi- finals.
In the Super 10 round, new points table will be considered. League matches’ points & NRR won’t be considered in this round.
Team with the BEST net run-rate: The net run rate of a team will be calculated as per: (Total Runs Scored/Total Overs played) - (Total Runs Given/Total Overs bowled)
It’s just simple math and NO other methods or the number of wickets will come into picture for calculating a team’s net run-rate. Of course, when a team wins batting second, then the number of overs they batted to get their target will be used for the run-rate calculation. If any team got bowled out inside their allotted overs (16 overs), then the actual scheduled overs (i.e. 16) will be used to calculate their net run-rate – just like any other One-Day Cricket matches! The run-rate will be calculated to 2 decimals.
It is very rare for two teams ending up with same run-rate after league matches. Under such a scenario, the team which has won (against same opposition) during the league match will lead and qualify for Super 10 round. In the worst case of tie between them in the league match, then a 5 overs match will be played to decide the qualifier.
League & Super 10 [4 Overs]: Power play is compulsory for the first 4 overs of each inning. Only 2 fielders will be allowed outside the 30 yard circle.
Semi Final [5 Overs]: Power play is compulsory for the first 5 overs of each inning. Only 2 fielders will be allowed outside the 30 yard circle.
Final [6 Overs]: Power play is compulsory for the first 6 overs of each inning. Only 2 fielders will be allowed outside the 30 yard circle.
Toss should happen 10 minutes before start of the match.
In case of tie in Super 10, Semi Finals and Final, Super Over will decide the winner. Super Over – Batting first will remain in same order as that of match. An Over will be played by each team or until 2 wickets whichever happens earlier. Whichever team score most in Super Over will win.
For league & super 10 round matches, maximum 4 overs will be allowed for a bowler.
For Semi Final matches, maximum 5 overs will be allowed for a bowler.
For Final match, maximum 6 overs will be allowed for a bowler.
Fielding rules [Except Power play]: minimum 6 players [1-Bowler, 1-wicketkeeper, 4-fielders]require in the inner 30 yard circle.
Fielding rules: On the ‘On side’, maximum 5 fielders are allowed to field.
Team has to be in the ground 30 minutes before the game start time. If the team doesn’t show up on time, the other team will be declared as the winner. This will be followed strictly since we are very restricted on the ground reservation and availability.
Organizers have the right to eliminate any team from the tournament at any point depending upon the situation. Tournament participation fee will not be refunded at any cost.
One player can play for only one team in the tournament. If it comes to the organizer’s notice that a team has a player who has played for another team in the tournament, then the team will be penalized. The penalty could range from awarding runs to the opponent, reducing overs to even disqualifying the team. This is completely the organizer’s discretion.
Team(s) responsible for late start of innings shall be penalized by reduction in number of overs which they will face during their batting according to the following table, Late start of innings by (time) Factor
10 minutes - 1 over
10-20 minutes - 2 overs
20-30 minutes - 3 overs
30 + minutes – Walkover
All the teams will play in good spirit and maintain the decorum of the game and no one will be allowed to pass any comments/remarks on anyone on the field or off the field. If any such incident comes to notice, the Committee has full powers to enquire the matter and if proved true, then such team including the player/s will be penalized /scratched from the tournament.
