Rules and Regulations
Box Cricket Rules:
1) Every team would be having a total of 10 players each . A combination of 05 boys and 05 girls.. Out of which 08 memebrs in each team would play 04 M / 04 F
2) Every match would be of two innings. Each inning would be of 5 overs. Maximum 3 overs will be bowled by Boys …, either of the first 2 overs, should be bowled by a girl.
3) The opening pair in the batting side should mandatorily have a femal coverage . Alternate batting order should be maintained. { Boys for boys example }
4) The batting scoring if done by females will be as under:
a) In case a Female Bats the score gets doubled for the team as under ..
1Run made would fetch 02 Runs
2: Runs scored would be 4. 2Run made would fetch 04 Runs
3: Runs scored would be 6. 03 Runs made would fetch 06 Runs
4: Runs scored would be 8. 04 Runs made would fetch 08 Runs
b) The scoring will remain normal in other scenarios as applicable ….
6) Boundaries are as below. (Note that there are No sixers allowed and if scored the batsman is declared OUT ).
In case the batsman plays the ball DIRECTLY outside the boundary without touching any fielder, it would be adjudged as OUT. The rope is also counted as boundary, so if the ball lands directly on rope, it would be adjudged OUT.
7) Bowling action constraints:
a) A MALE bowler’s feet’s should be touching each other while throwing the bALL towards the batsman and the arm movemnet should not be dislogged behing the ears only wrist movemnet allowed
b) A FEMALE bowler can bowl anyways she likes however if its above the waist height would be adjudged NO BALL. Also a female Bowler can bowl anywhere from the bowling end. Either from behind the original position of umpire (after informing umpire) or just before the crease.
c) A bowler (both M/F) CANNOT touch/ cross the crease at bowling end while throwing the ball.
e) Wide/ No Ball/ Dead ball/ Free Hit would be the sole discretion of the umpire in charge and may resutlt in additional Ball Run given .
8) Extras
b) In case of FREE HIT, Batsman can only be adjudged out only in case of RUN OUT. ( Direct hit outside will be considered as a dot Ball ).
c) Over Throws wouldresult into runs. Note: No Leg Byes / BYES here would be counted as runs.
d) In case of free hit field change is not allowed if same batsman is still on strike.
9) The next batsman who has to walk on the field, should be ready to bat within 70 seconds of the previous batsman getting out, otherwise the batsman would be adjudged TIME OUT.
10) In case of the ball going on wickets / Manhandling done by a batsman can only be accepted via his Legs and Bat.touch by hands would result into being declared out .
11) Over Limittation : Each player can bowl only 1 over.
12) There is NO Power Play in deciding the fielding sequence .

NO BALL decisions would be on the discretion of the on field UMPIRE.
14) A player can only be rendered as retired hurt only in case of injury.
15) A substitute runner will not be allowed in case of injuries during the match. He/she may get retired hurt if not able to continue and can come back later.
16) Dead Balls would be decided solely on the discretion of the ON field umpire.
17) Only One Bouncer ball bowled would be allowed in an over.
18) Wide ball decession would also lie at the discretion of the umpire
20) Bowler has to inform the umpire as to which side (over/around the wicket) he/she is going to ball at the start of the over or before changing the side in between the over. If a bowler fails to do so, the next ball will adjudged as No Ball and a free hit will be given to the batting side.
21) In case the match lands up in a tie breaker, a super over would be played by each team …however maximum 02 wickets loss would be enteriated keeping all of the above requlations at polay .
22) Wicket Keeper can't be rotated on each and every ball, however you can change it only inbetween your over finishes
23) If the ball goes above the head then the ball would be adjudged BOUNCER WIDE. In case the batsman hits the same delivery, then the ball would be adjudged as a BOUNCER. After a BOUNCER is bowled and again a BOUNCER is bowled, then the BALL is adjudged a NO BALL and FREE HIT would be given in the next delivery.
There is no lastman batting alloowed except pair
24) Umpires have the full right to change the decision, after consultation with the other UMPIRE present .
There will be a fixed batting line up follwed keeping in line alternate boy/ girl sequence in maind and this list will be handed over to Umpire immediately after the team wins the toss.
NOTE: IN CASE OF ANY OTHER SITUATION WHICH IS NOT MENTIONED ABOVE, THE ONFIELD UMPIRES HAVE THE FULL RIGHT TO MAKE A DECISION AS PER THE SITUATION.
