Rules for men:
There are 6 teams- Divided into 2 groups. Each team will play against each other in the group.
A win will fetch 3 points. Tie will be 1 point.
The top 4 teams play semi-finals. In case 2 teams have same points net run rate will be checked( i.e. team winning with better margins) will qualify.
Bowling rules
- 1 bowler per over : under arm- 1 step( no side ways action/ no run up allowed)
- bowler to bowl from behind the “crease” which would be approx 1 bat length from the stumps..
- Wide balls will fetch 1 run and extra ball to be bowled. Batsman can also take (byes/ leg byes) additional runs of wide ball
- No balls rules: if the bowler oversteps the crease/ side lineor bowls above waist of the batsman or touches the stumps while bowling. No ball will fetch 1 run and extra ball to be bowled. Runs scored of a no ball will be counted additionally.
- a line will be drawn in front of the bastman, the ball has to cross that line to be a legal delivery.
- no free hit
- (byes, leg byes allowed) if ball doesnt hit the bat, runs can still be taken.
- no lbw rule( but batman will need to sufficiently provide stump view to bowler, if batsman covers the stumps completely bowler to appeal for clean view)
- mankading with warning
Batting-
- if the batsman is outside the crease and the wicket keeper stumps, its out
- if batsman steps out of crease a ball above waist will be counted as legal delivery
- no last man
- If a striker is out then new striker shld take the charge and not the non-striker by crossing the half pitch, as per new rules
-If a batsman is retired, he will be called as retired out and cannot come back in to bat in the same inning
Fielder
- Catches to be taken without bounce on the ground or off the net or any other permanent obstruction on the field of play.
- the front facing net is the boundary. If hit directly is 6, if indirectly will be 4. If the ball clears the net it will be 1 run.
- 2 fielders allowed within 5 mts from boundary
