Rules and Regulations for Potential IPL-2023:
1. The matches will be 20 overs each. In case of any obstruction, as decided by the committee, the DLS method will be used according to the ‘CricHeroes’ app algorithm.
2. All the matches will be played with red ‘Maruti balls.
3. The tournament will be played in the ‘Knockout Method’, and no team will be allowed to play after it has been defeated once.
4. No player will be allowed to play in more than one team.
5. All ICC's updated rules relevant to the playing conditions here will be followed except for LBW, DRS review and ‘Mankading’. If the batsman at the non-striker’s end is backing up too far, the bowler can appeal for it, and the umpire will decide. But, preferably, the batsman will be warned, and a close eye will be kept on it.
6. Any sort of ungentlemanly behaviour (misbehaviour) inside or outside the ground on the part of the players and support staff will be punishable with a monetary penalty, which the committee will declare upon the completion of a given match.
7. The umpires and the committee bear the ultimate authority in any dispute related to the tournament and matches, and their decision is to be followed word by word.
8. A team should provide a list of 12 players at the time of joining, which will not be allowed to modify at any stage of the tournament.
9. The team uniform should be the same for every player in the team.
10. The fixtures will be set by the ‘lottery’, which the committee will do in front of the captains.
11. If an odd number of teams qualify for any round, one team will be selected randomly(lottery), going through to the next round without playing a match. This process will be repeated until the final if required.
12. Any other rule not mentioned here will be applied under the ICC regulations. Moreover, if any law is irrelevant to the management of ICC, then the committee will decide upon it.
13. The committee bears the authority and right to change or impose any rule at any tournament time upon any team or player.
