IOP Premier League 2022:

Institute of Physics is organising a cricket premier league from this year onwards. All the students of Institute of Physics studying in 11th and 12th as well as passed out students are participating in this annual event.


Rules and Tournament format:

This is a 5 over box cricket match played between 7 a side teams. The teams will play in a knockout pattern. This year we have 5 teams each from 11th and 12th standard from the boys. We also have 1 team each from 11th and 12th from the girls.

In round 1 all teams will play against each other in a knock out pattern.
5 teams will qualify for round 2. In round 2  the team with best run rate will be given a bye. The remaining 4 teams will again complete in knock out pattern to qualify for Play offs.
In qualifier 1 both the winning teams will play to qualify for finals. The winning team will qualify to the finals and the losing team will play against the team that had received a bye in the eliminator match.
The winner will play the finals.
Winner of the finals will lift the IOP Premier League 2022 Cup.
