    - The ground and first floor direct contact will result in 2 runs awarded to the batting team.
    - The second floor and above direct contact will result in 4 runs awarded to the batting team.
    - If the ball hits the wicket keeper's (or) batsman's helmet, it will result in 5 penalty runs to tthe opposition.
  • Update: Down the ground six declaration is now the end of the road towards Aarogya. It is no longer the sewer towards Aarogya.
  • We shall follow the below document used in IPL 2022 during this tournament wherever applicable.
    IPL 2022 Playing Conditions
Umpire's decision shall be final.
  • An appeal can be withdrawn by the captain to overturn the decision. Otherwise, in no other circumstances shall the decisiom be overturned.
  • The umpires shall be the sole judges of fair and unfair play.
  • In case of hitting any obstacle, it shall be the umpire's call for the runs declared. For eg., the ball hits the cement drain cap behind the wicket and there is a fielder right behind of it - in this case the ball will be a dot ball.
  • In case of unnacceptable conduct, the umpire shall issue a first and final warning which shall apply to all members of the team for the remainder of the match and warn the offending player’s captain that any further offence by any member of his/her team shall result in the award of 5 Penalty runs to the opposing team.
Impact Player rule will be allowed during this tournament.
  • How is the Impact Player going to work?
It's fairly straightforward. In addition to the playing XI, a team will have to list four substitutes at the toss. They can use any one of the four subs as their Impact Player.
  • Can the Impact Player be brought in at any time?
There are a few options. A captain can nominate the team's Impact Player and bring them in before the start of an innings; at the end of an over; and at the fall of a wicket or when a batter retires. However, if the bowling side brings in an Impact Player during an over - at the fall of a wicket or if a batter retires - then that particular player will not be allowed to bowl the remaining balls of the over.
  • What happens to the player who is replaced by the Impact Player?
The replaced player will take no further part in the match. Not even as a substitute fielder.
  • So does this change the number of players who can bat in an IPL game?
No, it doesn't. Only 11 players can bat. So if the batting team's Impact Player is a batter who replaces a batter who has been dismissed/retired, then one of the players yet to come in - presumably a bowler - will not bat.
  • How does it work for the bowling team?
When the bowling team brings in their Impact Player, they will be allowed to bowl their full quota of four overs irrespective of the number of overs bowled by the player they are replacing. For example, say a team has a powerplay specialist and bowls them out at the start of the innings. In theory, they could then replace the powerplay specialist with a death-overs specialist - their Impact Player - who can still bowl four overs. But remember, if the bowling team brings in their Impact Player in the middle of an over, they will have to wait till the end of the over before that player can bowl.
  • Does a delayed start impact the Impact Player rule?
The IPL said that there will be no change to the implementation of the Impact Player rule if "a delayed start reduces the total amount of overs available to both sides to less than 20 overs per innings prior to the commencement of the match… Impact Player can be utilised at any time during the match."
