Jpl rules
1. Three matches will be played in a day starting from 8.30AM,11.30AM,2.30PM.It is the captain’s responsibility to take care of their players and bring all his players before 30 minutes of play
2. Only two fielders are allowed to stay outside 30 yards circle during the powerplay overs
3. Mandatory Powerplay overs will be played during 1-5 overs of each innings in 15 overs match and 1-6 overs in 20 overs match
4. Every player of the team has to obey the umpire’s decision. If any player found discussing or arguing with the umpire then they shall be penalised by the decision of committee and umpire
5. The league matches are 15-over matches and semifinal,finals are 20 over matches. Each player is allowed to bowl max of 3 overs in an innings during the league matches and 4 overs during the semi finals and finals.
6. The batsman will be provided with a by-runner on basis of umpire’s decision. The players are supposed to strictly maintain discipline and obey umpire’s decision. No player should come to the field with a by-runner. The decision of by-runner is umpire’s choice
7. The bowling team should not exceed 80 minutes of an innings to bowl their 15 overs. In case if the team exceeds 80 minutes duration, the other team will be rewarded with bonus runs on the basis of referee’s decision. The team players and captain has to obey the referee’s decision
8. The captain is adviced to prepare their playing 11 list and present it to the referee before the toss.
9. If a bowler bowls a no ball, the batting team will be awarded with a free hit. Only case to get the batsmen out in the free hit is by run out.
10. If the match is interrupted by rain or any other climatic conditions, it is the decision of the executive committee to either arrange a match on the week day. The executive committee will best try to arrange a match on alternate day but in case if no conditions suits for a match then both the teams will be awarded with 1 points each. The team’s captain has to encourage and accept committee’s decision. Committee is always well in favour to arrange matches but if certain conditions do not allow then the team has to obey and respect the committee’s decision.
11. Each and every player has to attend the opening ceremony celebrations of jpl with proper uniforms. It is the duty of the team captain to bring their team during the opening celebrations . if the captain fails to bring their players in the opening celebrations then strict action will be taken.
12 Winning team will be rewarded with 2 points. In case of draw both the team will be rewarded with one points each
13.If the match is tied ,the match will go through super over where each team will be given one over to play. The team which scores maximum will be the winners. Please also note if the match in super over is also tied then the team who has hit maximum sixes in 15 overs innings and super over innings will be the ultimate winners. Suppose if both the team have scored equal number of sixes then maximum number of fours will be count. In case if the number of the fours is also same then each team will be rewarded with 2 points
14.Man of the match is based on following points
a. Each run is count as 1 point b. Each wicket is count as 10 points
c. Each catch is count as 5 points
15. Batsman cannot retire in between the overs. After the end of an over he can retire. The retired batsman are allowed to bat after their team’s ninth wicket is down. In case if the player is injured in the field, the umpire’s decision shall be applicable.
16. Only the 12th player is allowed to get drinks on field. In case if their 12th player is not available then they can ask committee and can bring outer player as 12th player provided that the outside player is not allowed to field. He can only serve water, drinks etc.
17.Every player must and should play atleast two league matches compulsory
18. Captain or sponcer of the team has no rights to ask any additional amount with his players
19. 12 balls will be given by committee for league matches
20. 1 Bonus point will be rewarded to the winning team if they win the match by the margin of 30%
21.If the player mentioned absent that player will not be eligible to play on that day. But if the match is postponed to the next alternate day due to rain or any other reason then also that player can’t play the match
22.If the match is abondaned due to rain then executive committee will arrange the match in a sequence system ( i.e.starting from Monday to Saturday)
23 If the match is started and its washed out by rain then that match will be resumed exactly from the same situation where it stops on the next day
24.Captain have to support committee to make jpl success
25.If the player use any abuse words or misbehave with committee then committee will take strict action against him
26. If one player is absent and the other player is injured or went out of station due to unavoidable circumtances then executive committee will provide one substitute player for that team. The substitute player is only for feilding he is nothing to do with batting and bowling.
