*TOURNAMENT RULES OF PGIMER DOCTOR'S LEAGUE -7

1. Each team needs to wear white jersey during the match day as the ball used in the match will be red leather ball.

2. Each team will play atleast 4matches..The match will be of 16 overs each for league stage in which powerplay will be of 5 overs...4 bowlers can bowl 3 overs max and 1 bowler can bowl 4 overs .Semifinals will be of 20 overs and Final 20 overs .All the rules of a normal 20 over cricket will be applicable. 

3. The match should start at the time given ...after waiting for 10 mins every 5 mins 1 over will be reduced of the unavailable team. 

4. Substitute can be used of any of team pool for unlimited overs….substitute must be doctor only..

5. In case match is delayed due to weather, that match will be postponed , remaining match will be on time only..

6. Presently working doctors are allowed to participate in the tournament. Along with that only two ex PGI doctor shall be allowed to play in the tournament and every team has to name maximum 3 ex players in the beginning itself which can not be changed after initiation of the tournament and only 2 can play in one match.

7. In case of controversial lbw (bat-pad) or no ball (height) decision, both the umpire can discuss and declare their decision..

8. One player can play from only 1 team and not from different teams. 

9. For all matches, MAN OF THE MATCH TROPHY is there

10. For bowling side there should be no more than 5 players on leg side.. bowler is out of equation regardless of which side he is bowling.

11. In tournament, starting for 1st semester JRs, senior consultants will be playing. Maintain the gentleman spirit of the game, abusive language towards juniors to be strictly avoided

12. Umpires will mostly be the allied staff of PGI, intimidation of any kind needs to be avoided

13. Any change in the already scheduled match has to be requested atleast 2 weeks before and a valid reason has to be given for rescheduling.

 14. In case of any controversies on or off the field, only the Captain /Vice captain will be allowed to discuss with counterparts or umpires, Mobbing/threatening them will lead to disqualification.

15. Every team has to name 3 ex players and out those 3 only, any 2 players can play one in a match.

 *Any cheating or not adhering to the rules shall lead to immediate termination from the tournament.*
