PURPOSE OF THIS TOURNAMENT:
• SPL makes it very diverse and when players of various teams play together there would be an amalgamation of Friendship, values and learning.
• This makes players more open minded and brings different teams closer.
• Here, the new cricketers get an opportunity to work and play with the experienced cricketers and improve the quality of their game.
• They get a chance to learn well and shape well.
SPL AUCTIONS:
• Each team is assigned a budget(points), and within that budget, the teams must bid one by one for the services of players from a particular point category.
• A base points is set for each player who signs up for the SPL auction and makes it to the finalised list released by the committee.
• Only 7 players are allowed for a team
• Only 1 player can be retained by the captain of the team for the next iteration of the tournament.
• The support players cannot be retained for the next iteration of the tournament.
Rules of the Tournament:
• Green Tennis balls will be used(Wilson)
• Speed meter will be used
• Bowling above the speed of 60kmph is considered as No ball.
• If a inside box fielder crosses the white line(centre) before delivering the ball,it is considered as No ball.
• No Plastic or fiber bats allowed
• Wide ball = 1 run
• Fast bowling = No ball +1 run
• Crease No ball = No ball +1 run
• Above chest height = No ball + 1 run
• In above No ball cases, runs will be counted, if batsman hit 6,4 or single, double.
• During No ball ,Run out will be considered as OUT but STUMPING will be considered as NOT OUT.
• If the ball gets damaged, players should report the ball to the umpire for inspection.
• If the bowler bowls a damaged ball without knowing that is considered as correct ball regardless of what happens in that ball.
• Management has authority to change timings of the match
• Only Captains are allowed to clarify with Umpires
• No arguments
• One player should not play for multiple teams.
• If Umpire feels Teams involving in match fixing those teams will be disqualified
• if ball hits the main umpire,ball will be counted as re-ball regardless of what happens in that ball.
• If player get retired they cannot play at the end , it is considered as OUT.
• Pitch cross not allowed after catch, New batsman will take the crease.
• Umpires decision is final.
