RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

  1. Only Special Teams of Members and Member’s son above 18 years of age will be allowed to take part in this Cricket Tournament.
  2. The tournament will be played with a tennis ball green in color.
  3. The tournament will start at 6.00 p.m. Onward for the 1st match & 2nd match will start at 9.00 pm.
  4. Every player must remain present on the ground 30 min. before the time of commencement of the match.
  5. The tournament is open only for members of the club, their family, and member’s son above 16 years of age will be allowed to play with prior permission.
  6. The tournament shall be conducted by a committee appointed for the purpose.
  7. The decision of the committee will be final and binding in all respects.
  8. The committee reserves the right to select the teams.
  9. The committee reserves the right to change the rules (if required), regarding the tournament.
  10. Children below 16 year’s of age are not allowed to participate in the tournament as on 31st May, 2022.
  11. Players are allowed to bring their own bats which are normal cricket bats allowed in the various tournaments Fancy bats like mongoose bat, Fiber bats etc. will not be allowed in the tournament. However, the club will also provide standard size bats.
  12. The entry form should be complete in all respects, duly signed by the participant and the member and handed over at the club office along with the entry fee. Forms without entry fee will not be accepted.
  13. Member’s sons up to the age of 18 years must attach a Xerox copy of birth certificate with entry form, and are required to present their club identity cards.
  14.  All players are required to wear own sports shoes. T-Shirt will be provided by the club. Players wearing half pants or 3 4 pants will not be allowed to play the matches.
  15. A Single player cannot represent more than one team.
  16. Misbehavior by any player will result in direct suspension of the team.
  17. League matches will be played between each team of each group. 1ST Power Play to have 2 fielders outside the inner circle for the first 5 over’s of the match.4 players were allowed outside the inner circle between 6th to 10th over (2nd Power Play) and 3 players outside de inner circle between 11th to 15th over (3rd Power Play). In Semi-final Finals 1st Power play between 1st to 5th over, 2nd Power Play between 6th to 10th over & 3rd Power Play between 16th to 20th over.
  18. All matches will be of 15 over’s each in League matches while semifinal & finals will be of 20 overs each.
  19. Players can join the game till first 5 Overs are bowled.
  20. Tournament can be started with minimum of 7 Players.
  21. Match to be continued from where it had stopped in case of power failure OR rains. In case of match being postponed you cannot change playing team. Reserve days will be informed in advance. Only substitute fielder will be allowed.
  22. If the team does not show up till 15 minutes of starting time, i.e. either 06.15pm OR 09.15m the opposite team will get a walk over (+2 Points) and the team that does not turn up get (-2 Points).
  23. In the League matches “Jackpot over” to be opted between 11th to 15th over & in Semifinals, Finals “Jackpot over” to be opted between 16th to 20th over.
  24. Description of Jackpot over: - Batsman decides to select any of the bowler from the “Nominated 5” bowlers (It is compulsory for each Captain to inform the Scorer & Commentator about the 5 nominated bowlers names also the 6th & 7th bowler in case of injury / emergency). The challenge taken by the batsman doubles up if achieved at the end of the over, at the same time all additional runs scored either by bat or in form of wide or No balls will add up as regular runs at the end of the over. In case the batting side loose a wicket they get a (-5) in their score, the total of Runs scored in terms of doubling of the challenge post deducting negative runs in case of losing wickets will be done at the end of the over. In case the batting side achieves the target during the over at any time of the over, the match is considered to be won by them and no further ball is to be bowled. If challenge is not completed then NO runs scored is considered or ZERO run scored will be considered.
  25. A Single bowler can bowl max. 3 overs in the league match & max 4 overs in the semifinal / Final.
  26. If a player remains absent, nobody can play in his place and the team will have to play as “Short of one player”.
  27. In case of a “Tie break”, the team batting first during the match will ball first in the Super over, the super over has 1 ball to be bowled by each of the nominated first 5 bowlers, so it will be a 5 ball over. The batting side bats normally, in case of a wicket the next batsman comes in. In case there is a “Tie” in the Super over, the second super over is bowled this time with 3 balls from each side. In case of tie & result is not achieved, one ball super over will be bowled. This is a non-power play over.
  28. A batsman will retire after scoring 30 runs in League matches & after 40 runs in Semifinals & Finals.
  29. Results for each match will be declared by the tournament committee.
  30. The award ceremony will take place immediately after the finals at the club lawns.
  31. In case of Rains: A. In a knock out round, the match will be resume on reserve day, new schedule will be given by committee from where it had stopped. B. The decision of the tournament committee in consultation with the umpires shall stand final.
  32. BONUS RUN’S: A. If a bowler balls a maiden over in the inning, 2 bonus runs will be awarded to the bowling side which means in case of bowling first opposition team’s 2 runs are deducted and if bowling 2nd opposition team’s target is increased by 2 runs. B. Winning team gets 2 points, 0 point for loosing team, In case of No show OR Bye given by any team, the team gets (-2) points. C. Deciding the seeding for Quarter final , all the teams will have their net points calculated base on Total points / No of Matches Played. In case of equal point between two team, Net higher run rate will get better seeding. D. Match can be started with 7 players, if rests of the players don’t come in 5 overs of starting the match, they cannot play the match.
  33. Team gets 1 Bonus point if the team achieves target with 20% overs remaining (i.e in 12 overs) if batting 2nd and if they bowl out the opponents with 20% margin remaining of the target, if bowling 2nd.
  34. For Quarterfinals : A. At the end of knock out round, two top teams in each group will move to the next stage. B. Top two teams from group qualifiers will get direct entry to qualifiers 1. Below four teams will play with each other as w1 V/s w3 & W2 V/S W4, W1, W2, W3 & W4 will be decided base on points & in case of equal points the net run rate will be considered. C. Two winners from above match will play eliminator 2. The looser of Qualifier 1 will play with the winner of eliminator 2.
  35. Semi Finals: A. Top 4 Team from Quarter finals will go to Semi finals based on points from Quarterfinals. B. In case of tie, the final call will be taken by management.
  36. Leg Before Wicket is applicable. Umpire decision is final. Leg bye & byes as per ICC Rules. In case of catch new player will only face the next ball as per new ICC Rules.
  37. New Prizes announced from this year: A. Maximum 6’s by a batsman in the series B. Maximum 4’s by a batsman in the series C. Maximum Hattrick, or anyone taking a Hattrick D. Maximum number of catches taken by a player.
  38. The Prize are: Winner’s trophy, Runner’s up trophy , Man of the Series of the tournament, Best Batsmen of the tournament. Best Bowler of the tournament.
  39. In any dispute during match the Club Management decision will be final and binding to all.
  40. Man of the Match for each match will be decided by the Referee & Club Management.
  41. Entry Fees is non refundable in case of cancellation.
  42. Club management has strictly decided that no practice will be allowed at the club lawn or the club premises.
