Rules and Regulations

• Knockout Tournament. 8 players per side(Minimum 2 female players and no limitation for maximum female participation). Throw ball (chucking) bowling.
• 15 matches in total. (8 4 2 1)
• Teams have to report half hour before the match at the venue.
• If any team is late by 15 minutes the opposite team will get winning points and the team which get late will not get entry to play the tournament as we are trying to complete the entire tournament in a day.
• 8 overs per innings till quarter finals. 10 overs per innings for semi and finals
• Half ground till quarter finals. Full ground for semi and finals.
• 1 over will get deducted for 1 less female player. 2 overs will get deducted with 2 less female players.
 (For Example team A has all male players then they need to field with 8 players. They need to bowl 8 overs whereas
They will get chance to bat only 6 overs)
• Each player must bowl 1 over
• Running between the wicket is allowed
• If both the teams have two female players Both female players must complete their bowling quota within 4th over of the innings.
• If both the teams have two female players Both female players batting position will be within 4th batting order
• If both teams have 1 players then the female player should bat with top 4th batting position and also complete bowling by 4th over.
• If the opposite team has no female players then the above bowling/batting quota for female players will not applicable for the team with female players.
• Wide, no ball, free hit rules will be applicable
• No LBW rule. No leg byes.
• Overthrows are allowed.
• Each Run scored by female players will be doubled.
• Once a player scores 30 runs, he/she must retire. Retired player can bat once all remaining batters are out
• Direct hitting MAX ZONE banner will yield 10 runs
• Male bowling to a female batter must be underarm
• Super over of 8 balls will be the deciding factor in case of a tie (Each player has to bowl 1 ball and each batter has to bat for 1 ball). If three wickets are down the next team will get chance to bat even before completing 8 balls.
• It will be throw bowling and players are instructed to not bowl fast else umpire will give it a no ball.
• We have also booked two badminton courts from 9 am to 10 pm so that whoever wants to explore badminton they can play indoor badminton as well.
 They need to bring their own gears and play the badminton. (Court 1 and 2)
A. Team with no female player can have 8 fielders. 8 bowlers. 8 batters. 6 overs to bat.
Note:-Some rules may change at the venue hence request to accommodate the changes as we are experimenting it first time. we are bringing external umpires and their decision has to be considered as final and please do not get into argument with umpires.
Our purpose is to make the deluxe cricket championship fun based event hence do support the organizers as well as the tournament.
