RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE TOURNAMENT


1. The tournament will be played with the tennis ball green in color.
2. The tournament will start at 7.30a.m. Onwards for the 1st match & 2nd match will start at 10.30am & 3rd Match will start at 01.30pm.
3. Every player must remain present on the ground 30 min. before the time of commencement of the match.
4. The tournament is open only for RCL members & staff on pay roll only, their family, and director’s son / daughter’s son will be allowed.
5. The tournament shall be conducted by a committee appointed for the purpose.
6. The decision of the committee will be final and binding in all respects.
7. The committee reserves the right to select the teams.
8. The committee reserves the right to change the rules (if required), regarding the tournament.
9. Children below 12 years of age are not allowed to participate in the tournament. The children born on & after 01/01/2004 and later are not eligible to play.
10. Players are allowed to bring their own bats which are normal cricket bats allowed in the various tournaments Fancy bats like mongoose bat, Fiber bats etc. will not be allowed in the tournament. However, the club will also provide standard size bats.
11. All players are required to wear own sports shoes. T-Shirt will be provided by RCL. Players wearing half pants or 3⁄4 pants will not be allowed to play the matches.
12. A Single player cannot represent more than one team.
13. Misbehavior by any player will result in direct suspension of the team.
14. League matches will be played between each team of each group.
15. 1ST Power Play to have 2 fielders out side the inner circle for the first 5 over’s of the match. 4 players allowed outside the inner circle between 6th to 10th over (2nd Power Play) and 3 players outside inner circle between 11th to 15th over (3rd Power Play). 
16. All matches will be of 15 over’s each in League matches & finals will be of 15 overs each.   
17. Players can join the game till first 5 Overs are bowled.
18. Match can be started with minimum of 7 Players.
19. Match to be continued from where it had stopped in case of power failure.
20. If the team does not show up till 15 minutes of starting time, i. e. either 07.30am OR 10.30am the opposite team will get a walk over (+2 Points) and the team that does not turn up get (-2 Points)
21. In the League matches & Final “Jackpot over” to be opted between 11th to 15th over. 
22. Description of Jackpot over: 

- Batsman decides to select any of the bowlers from the “Nominated 5” bowlers (It is compulsory for each Captain to inform the Scorer & Commentator about the 5 nominated bowlers names also the 6th & 7th bowler in case of injury / emergency). 
- The challenge taken by the batsman doubles up if achieved at the end of the over, at the same time all additional runs scored either by bat or in form of wide or No balls will add up as regular runs at the end of the over. 
- In case the batting side loose a wicket they get a (-5) in their score, the total of Runs scored in terms of doubling of the challenge post deducting negative runs in case of loosing wickets will be done at the end of the over. 
- In case the batting side achieves the target during the over at any time of the over, the match is considered to be won by them and no further ball is to be bowled.
23. A Single bowler can bowl max. 3 overs in the league match & Final.
24. If a player remains absent, nobody can play in his place and the team will have to play as “ Short of one player”.
25. In case of a “Tie break”, the team batting first during the match will ball first in the Super over, the super over has 1 ball to be bowled by each of the nominated first 5 bowlers, so it will be a 5 ball over. The batting side bats normally, in case of a wicket the next batsman comes in. In case there is a “Tie” in the Super over, the Umpire will declare the Winner as per “Toss”.
26. A batsman will retire after scoring 30 runs in all matches.
27. Results for each match will be declared by the tournament committee.
28. The award ceremony will take place immediately after the finals at the club lawns.
29. In case of Rains - In a knock out round, if the first innings is not completed then a fresh match will be played as per the new schedule. - If it rains in the second innings before completion of 7 over’s then a coin will be tossed and the winner will be declared. - If it rains in the second innings after completion of 7 over’s then the team who has scored higher run’s at the end of 7 over’s Will be declared winner, wickets lost will not be considered. - The decision of the tournament committee in consultation with the umpires shall stand final. 30. 
30. BONUS RUN’S:
- If a bowler balls a maiden over in the inning, 2 bonus runs will be awarded to the bowling side which means incase of bowling first opposition team’s 2 runs are deducted and if bowling 2nd opposition team’s target is increased by 2 runs. - Winning team gets 2 points, 0 point for loosing team, In case of No show OR Bye given by any team, the team gets (-2) points - Nett Run rate to be calculated :- (No. of runs scored / No. of balls)-(No. of runs given/ No. of balls) in case of All out the overs will be calculated as all bowled. Run rate will be divided as per the teams in the particular group. - Match can be started with 7 players, if rests of the players don’t come in 5 overs of starting the match, they cannot play the match.
31. Team gets 1 Bonus point if the team achieves target with 20% overs remaining(i.e. in 12 overs) if batting 2nd and if they bowl out the opponents with 20% margin remaining of the target, if bowling 2nd.
32. New Prizes announced from this year: a) Maximum 6’s by a batsman in the series b) Maximum 4’s by a batsman in the series c) Maximum Hattrick, or anyone taking a Hattrick           
d) Maximum number of catches taken by a player
33. Consolation prize to the Bowler who gives away Maximum runs- Complimentary Foot massage.
34. The Prize is: Winner’s trophy, Runner’s up trophy, Man of the Series of the tournament, Best Batsmen of the tournament. Best Bowler of the tournament.
35. In any dispute during match the RCL Committee decision will be final and binding to all.
36. Man of the Match for each match will be decided by the Referee & Club Management.
37. Entry Fees is non refundable in case of cancellation.
38. Club management has strictly decided that no practice will be allowed at the club lawn or the club premises.
39. One inning has to be finished in 70 min.
40. Friends have to play minimum of 2 matches.
