Cricket owes much of its appeal and enjoyment to the fact that it should be played not only according to the Laws (which are incorporated within these Playing Conditions), but also within the Spirit of Cricket. The major responsibility for ensuring fair play rests with the captains, but extends to all players, match officials and, especially in junior cricket, teachers, coaches and parents. Respect is central to the Spirit of Cricket.
These are rules for T10 cricket tournament. All the teams have to adhere by the rules and regulations.
▪ A match is played between two sides, each of eleven players, one of whom shall be captain.
▪ There are ten overs only per side.
▪ Each bowler is restricted to a maximum of two overs.
▪ Fielding restrictions in the first three overs - two fielders outside circle.
▪ Floating Powerplay: One over floating powerplay can be taken up by the batting team, between over 6th to 10th. - three fielders outside.
▪ Fielding restrictions for overs 4-10 - maximum five fielders allowed outside of circle. (Except the floating powerplay)
▪ NO DRS (decision review system) will be there for any game.
▪ THIRD Umpire will be responsible for only RUN-OUTS and No-Balls (every ball will be checked by 3rd umpire).
▪ Decisions of the Umpires will be full and final. The umpires shall be the sole judges of fair and unfair play
▪ A 'no-ball' is worth 1 runs, and the batsman gets a free hit after a no-ball.
▪ FREE-HIT for all types of No Ball will be employed for the tournament.
▪ Each side has just 45 minutes to get through their 10 overs. There is 10 minutes between innings.
▪ The next batsman has 90 second after the fall of a wicket to get to the crease.
▪ Five-run penalties – A an umpire may award one of the team’s five bonus runs if he feels the opposition is needlessly wasting time. This is designed to maintain the flow and pace of a T10 match.
▪ Super Over in case match is Drawn/Tied. (Standard rules applicable for the super over)
▪ No player can play for more than one team in the Tournament.
• The tournament would be played on League + Knockout basis. All matches will be played on Turf wickets, and the format will be ten over cricket.
• Each team should nominate a mi maximum of 15 players who would represent their company in the tournament. For matches played in that tournament, the team of 11 must be selected from this list.
• First aid kits will be available to treat any injuries sustained while playing. Tournament Committee will not be responsible or be liable for any injuries.
• A runner for a batsman when batting is not permitted. The umpires shall have the discretion to allow, for other wholly acceptable reasons, a substitute fielder to act for a nominated player, at the start of the match, or at any subsequent time.
