Format is normal round robin tournament style with 8 teams. Each team will face each of the other 7 teams once. At the end of the league stage, top 4 teams will play the semi finals. Team No 1 will face Team No 4 and Team 2 will face Team 3. Winners of semis will play the final.

In case teams are on the same points, net run rate will take precedence.

Teams will need to submit a playing squad before the tournament and ONLY players in that squad will be allowed to play in the league. In case a player is injured or has to go on leave, a replacement may be used, after informing tournament organisers. However, this is allowed only in the league stage.

All teams will need to be present at the ground 10 min before the start time. In case any team is late, a max of 10 min will be given for the late team. After that, an over will be reduced for every 5 minutes of delay from the start time of the match for the batting innings of the late team. If the start of the match is delayed by 30 min, a walkover will be given and the team with all players present will be awarded a win. If both teams are late, then the match will be a tie and abandoned.

In all match decisions, the umpires’ decisions are final. The umpire is allowed to overturn his decision after due consideration or consultation with the leg umpire. However, teams will need to accept that umpires are prone to human error and their decision will need to be accepted. Any team that creates an issue without accepting the umpire decision, will have to face a penalty in terms of runs or a walkover decision. This will be given at the umpire’s discretion.

Captains will be responsible for paying the entry fee to the organisers on Week 1.

Teams must take care to clear all garbage where they are playing, as this may attract Dubai Municipality and will lead to problems. Please ensure that no trash is left behind while leaving.

The most important thing is to have fun as that is the objective for all of us on Sunday morning. But please remember to maintain social distancing and to wear masks when seated. Teams are also requested to maintain low noise levels as this can disrupt our schedule, if the authorities ask us to vacate.
