Republic Day Cricket Tournament (23rd and 26th Jan 2022) – Hard Tennis Ball.

1) Umpire decision is final throughout the tournament.

2) 3 teams with max of 11 players a side.

3) 2 league matches for each team.

4) 2 league matches will be played on 23rd Jan 2022.

5) 1 league match and final will be played on 26th Jan 2022.

6) 15 over formal with max of 3 overs allowed to only 3 bowlers.

7) All other regular rules for bowlers for legal delivery and award of extra runs for wide and no balls.

8) Maximum 24 and minimum 6 deliveries to a batsman before retirement except any injuries. Retirement is not considered as out. Retired batsman will resume batting based on captain’s decision.

9) LBW and leg bye runs are not allowed.

10) All other regular rules for batsman to be called out. When batsman is out, retirement rule will not apply.

11) Captain needs to ensure that their team members report 15 mins before the scheduled time of the match.

12) For 11 a side match, field restrictions will be as below.

a. First 5 over, only 2 fielders will be out of the inner boundary.

b. Onwards 6 overs, only 5 fielders will be out of inner boundary.

c. Max 5 fielders can stay on each side i.e. On or Off side of the ground.

13) Free hit will be given in two circumstances, 

a. No ball and

b. Three consecutive wides

Info on standings, eliminator and qualifiers.

• Each winning team will get 2 points.

• Qualifier teams will be selected based on points and NRR.

• Final match will be played between 2 qualified teams.

• In case of tie in final match, decision will be based on super over.
