*Rules and Regulations of GRP Corporate Cricket Tournament - 2021*
1. All matches will be 12 overs each innings.
2. Balls used in the tournament will be Tennex Red color hard tennis balls.
3. New Ball will be provided for each inning. Incase if the ball gets lost, or damaged within the first 4 overs then again a new ball will be used to continue the match. If the loss or damage happens after 4 over then a used ball can be used & the umpire & the captains will take a combined decision of using a specific ball from the available lot, however umpires decision will be the final decision.
4. First 3 overs will be power play with only 2 fielders outside the inner circle. Rest of the overs maximum number of fielders outside the circle can be only 5.
5. The field set up during the entire match can have a maximum of 5 fielders on the leg side which excludes the bowler & the keeper.
6. Only Two bowlers can bowl 3 overs each in any match and the rest of the overs has to be bowled by other players. No Throw bowling is allowed which the batsman can appeal but the umpires will decide if it’s a throw or not and will take the decision. If it’s a throw then that ball will be considered as a no ball.
7. Outside the front & side crease bowling, full toss above the waist, any bouncer above the head, 2nd bouncer above the shoulder, not following the field set up will be called a no ball and a free hit will be given.
8. Except run out no other dismissals are allowed in a free hit.
9. Over throws, byes & leg byes will be applicable but No LBW. Wide &/or No Ball will have a run.
10. In case of draw during the league matches both the teams will share equal points however super over will be applied only in the finals and the match before the finals for the 3rd place. Note: In a super over the team which batted second will bat first.
11. Regarding safety individual need to take care, Please keep safe Distance & use Guards wherever necessary.
12. Man of the Match will be calculated based on the points earned by a player (10 runs = 1 point, 1 wicket = 1 point, 1 catch = 0.25 points, run out/stumping = 0.25 points). Note: In case of more than one player involved in a run out or catch the points will be split among them equally. In case of any disputes with equal points then Umpires decision will be final.
13. Cric Heroes app will be used for scoring by a teammate of the non playing side, however always a player from the batting team & fielding team should always accompany the scorer to ensure no conflicts later.
14. Points & NRR will be calculated automatically by the Cric heroes App & it will be considered to decide the teams 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Position and the top 1st & 2nd team will play the finals while the 3rd & 4th place teams will play for the 3rd place.
15. If any decision that needs to be taken which is not covered in the above rules, then all the captains and Umpires will take as a collective decision as a majority voting.
All the team members should reach ground by 6:45am
Last but not the least, its not a rule but a request, we are all mature enough & we understand that its just a game, so lets all try to have a fair play and let umpire & captain decide on any decision as per the rules.
