This premier event brings together key professionals from the field of architecture from across the nation at one place for 4consecutive days. Below are the details of the event: The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) is the national body of architects in the country. Established in 1917, the institute today has more than 20,000 members and plays a major role in promoting the profession of architecture by organising and uniting the architects of India to promote aesthetic, scientific and practical efficiency of the profession both in practice and in education. Indian Institute of Architects Premiere League (IIAPL) Season 8 - an initiative of the Indian Institute of Architects to bring together and unite the fraternity through sports. During past 7 years there have been several innovative events and programs of sports & culture conducted by IIA for the architects all across the country. One such is Indian Institute of architects premier league. Started as friendly matches in 2011, IIAPL seeks to pit the cricketing architects from different states to unleash the new spirit of sportsmanship in IIA. Previous IIAPL’s have been held at Hyderabad, Hubli, Cochin, Indore, Guwahati and Ahmadabad. Cricket, badminton & table tennis are the sports included in the IIAPL8. There would be 18 teams from different states across India with around 350+ architects both senior & young. Venue: The season 8 of IIAPL is going to be hosted by IIA Bhopal Chapter and cricket matches to be organized at 4 different grounds in the city namely Bab-e-Ali Stadium, BHEL cricket ground, All Saints School ground and Barkatullah University ground.
