GIHED CREDAI PREMIERE LEAGUE RULES

  1. All games shall start on scheduled time. The teams must check the schedule mail sent to each team representative on mail.

  2. If team reaches the venue later than 30 minutes from the scheduled time, opponent will be declared as a winner.

  3. Minimum 7 players needed by both the teams to start the match. Incase both the teams dont manage to bring 7 players on field by the scheduled time, overs shall get deducted from both the innings equally.

  4. After ten minutes past the scheduled start, 1 over will be deducted at every five minutes until the 30th minute in which case the opposition shall get a walk over.

  5. If both the sides are unable to manage 7 players in the game for the entire game, the match shall be forfeit as a “no result” game and zero (0) points shall be awarded to both the teams.

  6. Each innings will be of 15 overs. 3 overs maximum per bowler during league stages. During knockout, each innings will be of 20 overs with 4 overs maximum per each bowler

  7. Ever team wears approved same color T-Shirt of their respective team with track pants and sports shoes is mandatory for playing games. Shorts, capris or inappropriate dress up shall be allowed

  8. Only Green colour hard tennis balls provided by GPL Comittee will be used. A new ball shall be used at the start of every innings and old / new ball shall be used to replace the lost ball or the wet ball. A batsman / bowler or team captain shall have no say in deciding when and why to change the ball.

  9. There will be only 1 power play for first 4 overs during league stages and 6 overs during knock out stages with maximum of 2 players outside inner circle. In case, if team is short by 1 player, than only 1 player is allowed to field outside the inner circle during fielding restrictions. And In case, if team is short by 2 or more players, than there will be no player allowed to field outside the inner circle during fielding restrictions.

  10. Minimum 4 players, excluding wicket keeper and bowler are required in inner circle after fielding restrictions are completed,.

  11. All types of NO-Ball will lead to free hit. Extra run for wide and no balls are counted.

  12. A bowler hitting the stumps in his follow through of bowling shall also be considered a NO-Ball.

  13. Batsman will be retired hurt when his personal score reaches 35 during league stages and 50 during play offs. He can bat again after all wickets fall.

  14. Players cannot field a player / substitute who is not in the squad.

  15. Winning team gets 4 point, draw will be 2 and loosing team 0 point. A match with “no result “ shall also be 0 points.

  16. If teams have same number of points in league Stages, the qualification of playoff will be decided based on Net Run Rate.

  17. No league games will be reschedule due to rain or any other reasons. For rain / washed out / force majour games both team will split 2 point each.

  18. Umpires decision will be final.

  19. Every team is expected to follow tournament rules, failure to comply with rules and code of conduct of the league, disciplinary action may be taken by the GPL committee and a player / team could be banned.

  20. Team Owner and Team Captain is responsible for behaviour of the team. If any player is found violating rules, players and also captain can be penalized monetary as well as with match points.

  21. Maximum 5 players are allowed on leg Side.

  22. Each Team has to complete their qouta of overs in 70 minutes during league stages and 90 minutes during knockouts

  23. If ball hits direct to tree than 2 runs will be declared and if balls hits the tree with 1 or more than 1 bounce than 1 run will be declared, strike wont be changed.

  24. No runs will be declared in over throw if ball hits the tree, batsman has to continue to run.

  25. Incase ball gets stuck in tree 2 runs will be declared.

  26. No bats will be provided by GPL

  27. No Fiber bats will be allowed. Umpires has last say for approval of bats.

  28. Third umpire shall be used for only re-checking a No-Ball, stumping or run out. No other form of dismissal can be decided by the third umpire. In case the evidence is inconclusive, the soft signal of the umpire shall be the final decision. Every team shall have 1 review.

  29. All the decisions by the umpire on field and GPL comitee of the field shall be final and binding to all franchises.

  30. In case of a tied game, “Super Over” will be used.

    1. A Super Over sometimes referred to as an "Eliminator is one of two extra overs in a shorter format cricket match when the regular match ends in a tie. Instead of equally dividing the points between the two participating teams, the winning team of the "Super Overs" takes all the points.
    2. At the end of a tied regular match and before the Super Over, each team nominates three batsmen and a bowler. The team that scores the most runs in their Super Over is the winner of the match.
    3. If the scores in the Super Over are tied, the match is won by the team that has scored the most number of boundaries (outside of super over) in their innings. If boundaries are same, than minimum number of wickets fell will be declared as winner and if wickets are also same then the result shall be decided by toss.
    4. Team batting second during main match will be batting 1st in Super over.
