GENERAL RULES
A Team should consist of minimum 10 players in their squad including 2 girls minimum.
The format of the game will be of 7 men 1 woman i.e. total 8 players playing.
It is compulsory to have at least 1 woman player in the playing 8 squad.
This whole tournament will be played with “Light Tennis Ball”.
All matches including Finals will be played for 7 over per innings.
Fast Bowling is not allowed.
Regarding Fast Ball, this decision will be taken by both the umpires only & it will be called as a dead ball or not. Objection can be taken by the batsman, but the final decision to call dead ball or not remains with the umpire only.
Umpire’s decision will be binding and final. No argument will be entertained with the umpire.
Each player of the team will have to play at least 2 games in the whole tournament.
If any additional player found on the turf during the ongoing match except 2 batsmen, 2 umpires & 8 fielders, his/her side will face penalty that will be decided by the management and the umpires.
Team should reach 30 minutes before the scheduled time of their match.
Incase match is unable to start due to non-availability of any team, the umpires will have an option to ask the team (if limited member are available) to start the match with a reduce side or deduct one over for every 3 minutes delay. No extension of the time will be given in normal circumstances.
Incase both teams fail to report for the schedule match, BBA SA will declare the match as a tie and award same points to each team.
In case a team fails to turn up for their scheduled match, the umpires will award the match to the opponent team, provided opponent team is already on the ground.
All no balls result in a free hit. Field changes are not permitted for free hit deliveries.
Crossing of batsman is not allowed.
A playing player can only be replaced when he/she is genuinely injured. Subject to umpires permission.

BOWLING RULES
1 player is allowed to bowl maximum 1 over. 
Girl should compulsorily bowl 1 over.
The bowler should not move or twist his feet while bowling. i.e., The delivery should be made by standing at a single position (only for boys)
The bowler can go on his heels while bowling but can’t twist his feet or move his feet while delivering a ball. (Only for boys)
In case the above happens, the first ball will be considered as a dead ball, after which such deliveries will be considered to be as a No Ball. (Only for boys)
Girls can bowl normally
Full toss bowl over “waist height” will be called/declared as a “No Ball”.
The decision of No Ball consideration in above cases will only be taken by both the umpires.
Second bounce will be given as a no ball.
If the bowler breaks the non-striker's wicket during the act of delivery (unless he is attempting to run out the non-striker), it shall be given as a no-ball and a free hit will be given.

BATTING RULES
1st over of each inning will be “Powerplay” where only 1 fielder will be allowed on the boundary line.
Maximum of 2 fielders are allowed on the boundary line (behind the stumps) for the entire match except for power play over. If any other player is present behind the stumps, apart from these 2 players, it will be considered as to be a No Ball.
In case of Tie, Super over will be played where only 3 batsmen will be allowed to bat and one over will be bowled. 
In case if there is still a tie number of boundaries will be counted. The team hitting the most number of boundaries will be declared as the winner of the match.
If still there is a Tie in above results then equal points will be awarded to both teams.    
Any injured batsman can only have a runner after the opposing captain approves it.

DISMISSAL RULES
Clean Bowled, Direct Catch, Stumping and Run-out will be considered as out.
Hit wicket will be considered as out.
No L.B.W
The batsman will be called OUT if he found at popping crease line at the time of stumping (If none of your body part or bat is lying behind the line).
Batsman cannot handle the ball or stop the ball with hands when in play. It will be directly considered as out. 
Batsman cannot run in the line of wickets (stumps) and purposefully obstruct ball thrown to the wicket while running or standing. If found guilty he/she would be declared out.

SCORING
If a ball hits the side and the top netting and goes to the boundary it will be treated as 4 runs.
If a ball directly goes to the boundary it will be treated as 6 runs.
If the ball directly hits anywhere inside or on the goal post, it will be treated as 10 runs.
Wide and no-balls will be given as 1 run each.
If ball goes outside the turf except from the boundary it will be declared as 1 run. Same batsman will play the next ball. No crossing is allowed.
Overthrows runs are allowed/counted.


SPECIAL / SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS:
Umpire decision will be the final decision for all technical issues. There shouldn’t be any arguments on the field regarding any decisions of Umpires. Any kind of Misbehaviors and/or an argument of any player(s) with Umpire’s decision will not be tolerated/entertained. BBA SA has the right to interfere and disqualify the player and/or entire team if necessary.
If there are any disagreements on playground then only the captains are allowed to discuss the matters with the Umpires. No other players and their relatives are allowed.
Any of the following actions by a player shall constitute as an offence and BBA SA has a full right to take an action against the team or the player if:
A player is threatening or threatening to assault another player or the umpire.
A player is making inappropriate and deliberate physical contact with the umpire or another player on the field.
Physically assaulting a player or any other person or the umpire.
Committing any other act of violence.
Maintaining the discipline and sportsmanship spirit on the ground is the captain’s responsibility. If any player found misbehaving or losing his temperament on the field then strict action will be taken by the BBA SA. In such situations the team will be disqualified from the tournament.
Once the Player has played from 1 team or has decided to withdrawn himself/herself from this season of BSL then the same player cannot play from any other team in this season too.
Penalty will be charged if any player intentionally throws the bat to the ground.
Player will be fined if he/she damages any of the assets of the college or of Turf United Sports Arena.
