BIG BASH LEAGUE- UAE TOURNAMENT FORMAT
1. 10 teams will play with every team in the league stage.9 matches for all teams.
2. Declared winning team will get 2 points and net run rate also will be considered to rank the teams with Cricheros application.
3. All the league matches will play on Friday mornings only.This can be only changed only with approval and agreement of the tournament committee.
4. Tournament is not restricted to any nationalities.
5. An executive member committee will form in between the representatives of each team for the betterment and coordination of the tournament.
6. The tournament will be played with hard tennis ball (Tennex - red). The tournament committee will provide the same.
7. One player of each team act as a captain. He should be aware of the laws of the cricket. He should encourage the bowlers to bowl with the standard bowling action.
8. All the teams should respect the decisions of the umpires.
9. Each team should submit their list of 16 players + 2 officials. Only players in this list can play. Officials can only do fielding for the matches, if necessary.
10. A minimum of 10 members in the ground is mandatory for each team from the given squad to start a match.
11. Only the members of each team, who played for a minimum of 3 league matches in this tournament are eligible to play in the Play offs/Knock outs.
12. Each team should pay 500 AED as an entry fee. Last date for the payment is 2nd June 2021.
13. Covid protocols to followed by each and every team. Tournament committee will not take any responsibilities, if any violations caused.
PLAYOFF FORMAT
1. The top 4 teams in the point table will qualify for the playoffs. (IPL format)
2. Top two will play the 1st qualifier, the winner will be qualified to the final.
3. 3rd & 4th teams will play the eliminator, the loser will be eliminated directly.
4. The loser of the 1st qualifier and winner of the eliminator will play in the 2nd qualifier.
5. The winners of 1st & 2nd qualifiers will play in the only final. And the winners will be the champions.
