RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. This tournament consists of 4 teams.
2. The tournament will consist of 12 players (may vary) per a team and 08 over’s a side.
3. The time allocated for an innings to finish 08 over’s is 30 min and no provision for time out is being provided. A team will be given a break max. of 05 minutes between 2 innings.
4. For an innings a maximum of 5 fielders shall be allowed to field outside the 30-yard inner circle. In the event of a mistake of any of this fielding restriction, the square leg umpire shall call and signal ‘No Ball’ and a Free Hit will be
provided. A mandatory slip fielder has to be allocated in the field.
5. A team must utilize a minimum of 6 bowlers for an innings. Only 2 bowlers will be allowed to bowl a max. Of 2 overs. This rule may be changed in case the matches are played with reduced overs. Such change, if any will be informed prior to the start of the match by umpire/referee. LBW are not applicable for this tournament.
6. During the match, it is compulsory for the players and substitutes to be dressed in proper cricketing gears. Players must wear a shoe during the play.
7. All teams will play each other once in the tournament apart from the Semi-final and the Final match of the tournament. The top team with the highest points will directly qualify to the Finals and the second and third teams with higher points will qualify to the Semi Finals. The Team with the lowest points will automatically sent out from
the tournament. The Team Captain is responsible for informing all of the teammates about when the team will be playing.
8. Two points for a win to each team and losing team won’t get any points. In the case of a tie in a match where runs both teams scored are the same, the deciding factor of who wins will be decided by a Super Over match. The super
over will be applied as per the normal cricket rules, to decide the winner. If a team fails to reach on time, at the ground or leaves in the middle of the match, then the opponent team will be declared as a Winner.
09. During the tournament all participants are expected to behave professionally and should avoid abusive language/gestures/ question umpires’ decisions. The team and Captain must make sure this does not happen. The participants must also remember to treat other players with respect as well as have fun. All the teams will play in good team spirit. All members including the players & spectators have to strictly follow the rules of the Ground authorities during the matches.
10. Players are advised to bring the Club Jerseys for group photos.
11. The organizing committee has the rights to change any of the above rules depending on the situation of the tournament.
12. A Team has to contribute a minimum of LKR 6,000/- for the tournament.
13. Please follow the COVID -19 Rules and Restrictions (Maintain 1m distance, Wash the hands and always use
sanitizers).
