Rules
1. Total of eight (8) teams will register and participate, on first-come-first-serve basis.
2. Tournament will be played in Knockout Format.
3. Each match shall consist of 8-overs (tentative) for both sides. The Semi-Finals and Finals will be of 10
overs (tentative).
4. Teams will be paired up against each other in random order in the first round (Qualifier Round). The
winning team of the match will go on to the second round (Semi-Finals). The third round will have only
two teams in a face-off for the Finals.
5. List of playing XI players should be given in writing before the toss to the Umpire & Match officials. 1
player should always be available with the Scorer during the Match.
6. In case of a tie in a match where runs both teams scored are the same, the deciding factor of who wins will
be decided by a SUPER OVER. If the runs in the super over of both teams are the same, the deciding factor
will be a Bowl-out.
7. As per schedule, the teams shall report 45 minutes prior to the start of the game at the ground. Toss for the
next game will be conducted after the end of the 1st innings of the current game.
8. In any match, Max. overs which can be bowled by a bowler is 2 overs. In Semi-Finals and Finals – a bowler
can bowl maximum 3 overs. Min. use of 4 bowlers is mandatory.
9. An innings of 8 overs, should be completed within 35 minutes, If a team takes more than 40 minutes in a
match to complete 8 overs, 5 runs as PENALTY will be added to the other team’s score per over delayed,
i.e. if a team had completed – Say 6.2 or 6.4 overs within 40 minutes., remaining complete overs only shall
be counted for penalty, which is in this case - 7th & 8th over only (as 6th over is ongoing). Hence, 5 5 runs
will be added to the other team’s score as a penalty.
10. Runners will not be allowed to any team/batsman, in any circumstances.
11. In case of Out while MANKADING, the bowler needs to give a warning to the batsman. 1st warning to be
served mandatorily.
12. Bowler's complete step outside stepping crease is NO BALL and the next ball will be a free hit. All NO
BALLS will have a free hit.
13. Matches shall be played with Day Nite Ball or equivalent, and will be provided by the Organizing
Committee. The ball will be the same for all the matches and each innings of a match will begin with a
new ball.
14. Byes & Overthrow is permitted and will be as usual.
15. Batting will be done from both ends of the pitch.
16. Any usage of bad language against the Umpires/Players/Organisers/Audience will not be tolerated. Umpires
will reject any player indulging in such behaviour and substitutes will not be allowed. Also the organizers
will decide the player’s penalty based on Umpire's report.
17. On Field Umpires decision shall be binding & firm.
18. The Man-of-the-Match and other Awards will be decided by the Organisers of the Tournament.
19. The most important expectation is to play in the right spirit of sportsmanship and any unethical practices
found by the organizing team will lead to Debarring the whole team.
20. The Organisers are not liable to make refunds of Registration Fee, under any circumstances.
21. Committee reserves the sole right to decide in case of any dispute not mentioned above & the decision so
made shall be final & binding on each team and players.
