Final Rules & Regulations:
Match Format : 5 overs, 7 players a side (6 1 extra players per team)
Over per bowler limit : Each bowler can ball max 2 Overs.
Wide ball rules:
Wide ball won’t be counted and 1 run penalty to the team.
NO Ball rules:
a. For Overs 1 to 5 : ball not counted, 1 run penalty, and next ball is a free hit. 
 b. Full toss above waist is a no-ball and 1st warning will be given to the bowler, 1 runs penalty and next ball will be a free hit. If another full toss ball is bowled above waist in the same over, the bowler will be disqualified from bowling in the said innings. 
c. 2nd bouncer over shoulder height in the same over, after 1st warning, is a no-ball, 1 run penalty, and next ball is a free hit. 
d. 3 no balls (of any type) are allowed in one over. If 4th no ball (of any type) is balled in the same over, bowler will be disqualified, runs & legal balls will be counted and remaining balls will be bowled by another bowler. However, limit of maximum 2 overs will be applicable and cannot be over ruled.
e. In the free hit ball, only run out will be allowed. In free hits, air-borne balls going out of the demarcated area will neither be declared as OUT nor it shall be a 6, it will be a dot ball.
Bowling will be done only as a Throw ball. Umpires decision shall be final and binding.
Batting team can take super over in the 1st or 2nd over of the innings. If not so, 3rd over will automatically be deemed as super over. In super over, all runs scored by bat will be counted as double.
Boundaries:
a. Fours : Grounded shot hitting the boundary box / pillars. 
b. Sixes : Air-borne ball hitting the boundary box / pillars directly & remaining in the playing area.
c. Air-borne balls going out of the demarcated area will be declared as OUT. However, if the captain of the team decides to retain the batsman, then he can do so at the cost of 6 runs of the team. This will be allowed only once per innings, but not in super over, and the decision is to be taken immediately. Once the batsman goes out of the playing area, the Captain cannot exercise this option.
d. Over throws to the fence can result in 4's / 2Ds in any circumstances.
Fielding Rules: 
a. Wicket keeper is mandatory and he can do bowling also.
b. Catches: Direct catches and one tip one hand shall be considered as OUT.
In case of one tip one hand no sort of support will be allowed to the wrist of the fielder (For Example: support of body, ground etc)
LBW: No LBW outs, no leg byes, only bye runs allowed. (Strike Rotation can be done through leg byes). Strike Rotation cannot be done through leg byes.
In case of Tie
For Semi Final & Final Matches: Tie breaker over will be played
For League Matches: Ball Out Method will be played and if ball out is tied then through toss of coin.
Tie Breaker Over
Where team who fielded first in the match, will bat first in the tie breaker over.
In this over, only two batsman will be allowed to bat
If 1 batsman gets out in this over, the other batsman will continue alone till he gets out or over is completed and the rule of single batsman henceforth (Clause 21) will be applied.
If tie breaker over also gets tied, the result will be declared on the basis of toss.
Ball Out method
In Ball out, one bowler of both teams shall throw 1 over i.e., 6 balls at the stumps.
Team fielded first shall have to throw first.
If ball out method also gets tied, the result will be declared on the basis of toss.
Admin Rules: 
a. All players must report at venue 30 minutes before game start. 
b. If in any circumstances like bad weather or any disputes etc match gets abandoned, then the decision of the technical team/committee will be final & binding.
c. Umpire/Committee’s decisions are final & irrevocable. 
d. Matches will be played with tennis ball, players are requested to come in sportswear. Spiked shoes are not allowed inside the playing area. 
e. All players are expected to be courteous to each other and with the officials
f. Arguments with umpire will lead to player/team disqualification. This will be strictly followed.
Runs scored by running will be counted as double including excluding bye runs & overthrows.
In super over 4’s & 6’s will be counted as double.
In super over if the batsman hits the ball outside the demarcated area the batsman will be declared as OUT, and the option to the Captain of batting team to retain the batsman at the cost of 6 runs (Clause 7c) will not be given in this over.
Ball bouncing more than one drop before reaching the batting crease, will be declared as dead ball.
If the air-borne ball goes outside the playing area, i.e. above demarcated area even after touching the pole/net/cloth/bamboo structure/light pole the batsman will be declared at OUT and if the ball comes inside the playing area after touching the same it will be declared at NOT OUT and will be given as 6. However, if the ball goes out of the playing area through the demarcated area (for eg. through the nets by tearing it), then the batsman will Not be given OUT.
Retired hurt not allowed, if any player is retired hurt and goes out of the field, he will be deemed as out.
Mankading is allowed
Mankading is a method of run out where a bowler dismisses a non-striker batsman by hitting the bails before bowling when the latter is outside the crease. Though this is a legally permissible dismissal, it is considered against the spirit of the game.
Fast ball not allowed, the same will be decided by the umpires solely. No interference of players will be entertained. DELETED
 If 5th players get out in an inning, then the 6th player will be allowed to play single. For this a runner has to be taken at non striker end amongst the 6 playing players of the match and run-out will be considered both the side.
Wicket-keeping gloves are not allowed. However, inners are allowed.
2 (Two) Points will be given to the winning team for every win.
In case of Tie in Points Table, Run Rate will be considered for Selection of Qualifying Teams for Semi Final.
Calculation Of Run Rate:-

Total Runs Scored in All Matches Total Overs Faced in All Matches

Note:-(a)If a team gets All Out then total Allotted Overs (i.e. 5 overs) will be considered for Run Rate calculation and not the Total Actual Overs Faced.
(b) Fall of Wickets will not be considered for above calculation.
              26. Calculation of run rate will be calculated either manually or through Cricheroes app which will be binding on the teams. (Method of calculation shall be decided by the organising committee)
               27. If any match is delayed due to any reason like rain etc, then the match may be reduced to a minimum of one over per side to be jointly decided by umpires and technical 
committee. In a case, where a reduced overs match is played, there will be no super over. In such a match, other limitations shall be revised accordingly jointly by the umpires and technical committee.
28. Players must be preferably in Black Trousers with his team’s t-shirt to be allotted.
 29. The team must bring their own bat.

N.B.: THE DECISION OF THE ORGANISING COMMITTEE / DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE WILL BE BINDING ON ALL AND WILL BE FINAL.


PROFANITY/CONSUPTION OF ALCOHOL/ DRUNKEN TEAM MEMBERS ARE STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED ON THE FIELD









BOX CRICKET LEAGUE (SEASON-1)
Date: 19th, 20th& 21st February, 2021

Rules & Regulation for formation of team:
There will be 10 teams which will be divided into two groups i.e Group A & Group B. From both the groups two teams each will qualify for semi final.
Each team will be comprised of 7 players, out of which the captain shall declare playing 6 before the match.
Age limit for players:
Below 21: 1 Compulsory
The team is required to make each player to play at least one match.
The match will be started from 3.00 p.m onwards. (If there is any changes in time, it will be notified by the committee.)
The promoters will have to form their own team as per specification provided.
The promoters shall have to submit the complete details of players as and when asked by the committee.
Players shall be from Jorhat District and Marwari Community only.
The promoter must pay the entire team amount on or before 7th Feb, 2021.
Promoter meeting is scheduled on 7th Feb, 2021 at Agrasen Residency at 10.30 A.M.
The team must provide the team LOGO latest by 7th Feb, 2021.
Note: Cut off date for calculation of age is 31.12.2020

Clarification in certain rules:
One tip one hand will be declared as not out if the ball fumbles, which will solely be decided by the umpires.
Throw ball should be done over the shoulder, if not done the ball will be treated as no ball and next ball will be free hit.
Decision regarding fast ball will be decided solely by the umpire’s. If the umpire declares the ball as fast ball the same ball will be treated as no ball and next ball will be free hit. DELETED
Bowler is allowed to ball from and within the space available between stumps and bowling crease.
While bowling, both the complete feets should be grounded. The bowler will not be allowed either to raise his toes or his heals while bowling. If he does not follow the same, the ball will be treated as no ball and next ball will be free hit.
2 runs will be given if the balls hit the boundary which is parallel to i.e. behind the stumps at the batting side.
Top team of Group A will play with 2nd team of Group B and top team of Group B will play with 2nd team of Group A.
Semi final will be on the basis of play off rules where top team of both the group will play the first match and the winner thereof will get the direct entry to the finals. The loser will play with the winner of the 2nd match of the play off which will be played between 2nd top team of both the group and the winner of this 3rd match will get the entry to the finals.
