BM Cricket League Rules
❖ 20 overs match per side
❖ Max 4 overs x two bowlers, 3 overs x 2 bowlers are allowed (ex- 4+4+3+3+2+2+2)
❖ Captain to ensure rotation of players to give equal opportunity to players as appropriate
❖ Follow up / review meeting to happen at the mid of the tournament
❖ Umpire from third team (Neutral or non-playing side) is mandatory. If the main umpire is neutral, he can override any decision in all fairness of the game. Umpires must ensure
✓ A "fair go" for all participants
✓ The game is enjoyable and encourage active, positive participation
✓ That all participants demonstrate respect for each other and towards the umpires
✓ Etiquette and common good manners are instilled in players
✓ Do not accept any form of profanity, dissent, abuse or sledging
✓ Do not accept vilification in any form (a rude expression intended to offend or hurt)
✓ If a doubt arises, DON'T GUESS! Refer to the rules
✓ Where there is disagreement or dispute about any matter, the umpires together shall make the final decision. Dispute can only be raised by captains, any team member showing dissent, rudeness or collectively charging towards the umpires along with the team or alone will be penalized
✓ Whether the ball is finally “dead or in play” is a matter for the umpire to judge and decide
❖ Team can borrow maximum of 3 fielders from opposite side, will field within 30 yards circle and they cannot play the role of a wicket keeper.
❖ 1 fielder minimum excluding wicket keeper should be fielding behind the wickets and within the 30 yards circle only (small cones)
❖ Cut off time is 6:45:59 am. Post that player won't be allowed to bat and bowl. Only Fielding is allowed, matches will be played as per the given time (strictly) and each team must arrive 30 minutes prior to their match time. All teams are requested to co-operate for same. Neither Umpires or Captains are not allowed to take any deviation on the same to maintain the sportsman-ship of the game
