RULES AND REGULATION

1. These are the rules formed by the BPL - 2017 Cup committee and every individual is expected to abide by all these rules. Committee expects all the individual to know the rules before taking the field. Committee reserves the right to change or modify the rules as deemed appropriate before or during an event. Any changes made will be conveyed to all team captains and umpires. Rules are in accordance with the ICC Twenty20 rules and the laws of cricket except as indicated otherwise in this rules document.
2. OVERS :  It is a limited over's cricket tournament featuring 20 over an inning.  ???????

• A) All matches will be a maximum of 20 overs per innings
• B) A bowler can bowl a maximum of 4 overs in a 20 overs match.
• C) Under-arm bowling is strictly prohibited.
• D) Teams should complete the overs in a timely manner. Umpire(s) are requested to ensure this

1. POWER PLAYS:  

• A) There will be a 6 overs mandatory power play in the beginning of the innings.
• B) A maximum of 2 fielders are allowed outside the inner circle during the power play 
• C) The inner circle should be around 20 Yards/60 feet from each wicket; hence, in reality, it will be oval shaped and not circular

1. The Point System for league matches is as under-

• i. Win = 2 Points
• ii. Tie/Draw = 1 Points
• iii. Loss = No Point
• iii. Bonus Point = ± 1
• A team can obtain a bonus point if it wins by more than 50 runs or by 8 wickets or more
