Rules and Regulations
• Matches will be played with Wilson ball!
• Six groups with five teams in each group. Matches to be played against the group - A vs B, C vs D, E vs F
• Top 4 teams each from A&B, C&D, E&F groups combined will qualify for pre quarter finals. From amongst all the remaining teams, top 4 teams based on points and NRR from all groups combined, will qualify for pre quarter finals!
• All the qualified teams will be ranked from 1-16 based on points and NRR. Pre Quarters will be played as - 1 vs 16, 2 vs 15, 3 vs 14, 4 vs 13 and so on..
• Quarters will be played between teams winning matches as
QF 1 - (1vs16) and (8vs9)
QF 2 - (2vs15) and (7vs10)
QF 3 - (3vs14) and (6vs11)
QF 4 - (4vs13) and (5vs12)
• Semis 1 - QF1 vs QF4, Semis 2 - QF2 vs QF3!
• 13 overs per innings. 6 bowlers to be used - 3-2-2-2-2-2
• Only at Veterinary Grounds* - • Bowling team to decide the batting side. Side change after 6 overs! • Ball hitting any part of the tree directly within the field of play, will be a SIX. Ball hitting any part of tree after bouncing inside the field, will be a FOUR!
• In *St. John’s Grounds* - Ball touching any part of tree inside the ground, will be ball in play!
• 1st over and 2nd over mandatory powerplay, 2 fielders outside 30 yard circle.
• Batting and Bowling Powerplay to be taken after 6 overs!
• Batting PP and Bowling PP - 3 fielders outside 30-yard circle!
• All new bowlers to bowl the powerplay overs
• In case of a tie match, Super Over will be played only in Knockouts! In League stage, 1 point will be awarded to both teams!
• Every team will be allowed to have a playing 15. Any number of substitutions can be made.
• In case it rains during the match, a wait time of 15 minutes maximum will be given! If ground is immediately playable, match will resume! Else, one point will be shared - irrespective of how crucial the game is!
• Rain Rule -
• If match is started but not completed: 1 point shared. No DLS system.
• If not started: rematch!
• If toss done: 1 point shared.
• The BJTCT and JCA committee reserves the right to frame or amend the rules at any point of time, if found necessary!
