? 5 Overs Turf Cricket Tournament – Rules & Regulations

1️⃣ Match Format
Overs per innings: 5 overs (30 balls) per team.
Balls per bowler: Maximum 2 overs per bowler.
Powerplay: NO

2️⃣ Team Composition
Players per team: 6 players on field (squad can have up to 8, with 2 substitutes).
Substitution: Fielding substitution allowed only in case of injury (no batting/bowling by sub).

3️⃣ Batting Rules
No runner: Injured batsman can either continue themselves or retire hurt.
Extras: Wide/No-ball = 1 run extra delivery.

4️⃣ Bowling Rules
Over-arm bowling (unless agreed otherwise before match).
Free Hit: After every no-ball (any type).

5️⃣ Fielding Rules
Boundaries: Turf boundaries as marked – hitting the side nets is 1 run (unless changed by organizers).
Catches:
Direct catch off net = Out (unless ball first touches the turf).

6️⃣ Dismissals
Bowled, caught, run-out.
Hit-wicket and handling the ball = Out.

7️⃣ Tie-Breaker
In case of a tie → Super Over (1 over each, 2 bowlers max 3 balls each).
If still tied → Most boundaries wins.

8️⃣ Code of Conduct
Respect umpire’s decision – Umpire’s decision is final.
No sledging or abusive language.
Dangerous play (throwing bat, hitting ball after dead-ball) may lead to dismissal or disqualification.

9️⃣ Time Management
Each innings: Max 15 minutes.
5 minutes interval between innings.

? Safety & Equipment
Players must wear proper shoes (no spikes if turf rules forbid).
