Cricket Tournament Rules & Guidelines
Match Timing & Reporting
• Matches will be scheduled as per Cricheroes time slot.
• Teams must report 30 minutes before scheduled time.
• Late arrival = overs deduction.
• Teams must arrive at the venue as per Cricheroes schedule.
• Any delay = overs will be lost.
Tie Rules
• Super Over in case of tie.
• If no time for Super Over, result decided by number of boundaries (for Pre-Quarter and Quarter).
Gameplay Rules
• No LBW or Leg Bye will be counted.
• Arguing with umpires = 5-run penalty.
• If innings not completed in (No. of Overs × 5 minutes), only 2 fielders allowed outside 30-yard circle for last over.
• Players participating in 2 teams = both teams disqualified.
• Only fielding allowed for 12th man; no batting or bowling.
• No underarm bowling, no excessive appealing.Decisions by umpire are final.
• Disputes in scoring or names resolved after the match. Match must not be halted.
Scheduling & Rain Rules
• All slots are tight; teams must play on time.
• DLS applies as per Cricheroes: 3 overs for 10-over game, 4 overs for 12-over game, 5 overs for 15-over game.If time is lost or matches are washed out: NRR of first match used for group progression.
• Alternate weekday morning slots may be used to finish matches.
Bat Usage Policy
• Bats will be provided by Sutherland – suitable for tennis ball matches.All teams can use these standard bats.
• Teams can bring their own bats if they choose.No team is required to share their bats with others. Exclusive use of personal bats is permitted.
Power Play & Bowling Limits
The flexibility was provided so that any team with 4 bowlers can complete the full overs to save time
For completing Q7 vs Q8 match on 30-Aug, overs may be reduced so that one team would avoid travelling next day.
