“HITACHI PREMIER LEAGUE SEASON-2” CRICKET TOURNAMENT
(TENNIS BALL)
RULES
1. The tournament will be played as a league match with a tennis ball.
2. Safety and well-being during the matches are the responsibility of each
individual participant. Players are expected to be well-rested the night before
their scheduled match to ensure optimal performance and reduce the risk of
injury.
3. Team captains are kindly requested to ensure that only fit and match-ready
individuals are included in the playing squad. Your cooperation in maintaining
a safe and healthy environment for all is sincerely appreciated.
4. Dress code T-Shirts, Tracks (full) and Sports Shoes (Must for safety reason).
If the dress code is not followed by the player (shorts not allowed), he will not
be allowed to play the match.
5. Players dress color should not be same color of Tennis ball (i.e. yellow or light
green is not permitted).
6. All 12 teams will be divided into two groups (A & B). Each group will play
with their opponent one time in the league stage.
7. The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the Semi Finals (Knock-out)
followed by the Final.
8. Losing teams from Semifinals will play for 3rd Place match.
9. If teams (In each group) are with same points, then based on run rate, best
team will advance to Semi Finals (Knock-out).
10.Teams need to be in ground before 30mins of their schedule which is
compulsory, in order to start the match early if the previous match completed
before scheduled time.
11.All matches will be played at the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
12.For this tournament committee is decided to have 1 women employee in
playing 11.

st over rules:
13.1 Batting and bowling Opening by women in each team. (Stiker should
be women).
13.2 Women’s could bowl from ¾ pitch and throw bowling is allowed.
13.3 Men has to play with reverse hand till 1st over complete. (If women
gets out within the 1st over) and switch-hit is not allowed.

nd and 3rd Overs Power Play. (Two Fielders will be outside the 30 yards
circle). After power play 4 fielders are mandatory to be inside 30-yard circle.
15.All the teams will be given 45 minutes to bowl their limited 10 over’s (after 5
minutes grace time will close the 1st Innings and 2nd Innings match will
continue after the 5min break). (10 runs per over will be added to opponent
team).
16.One men bowler can bowl maximum of 3 overs only and 1 over compulsory
by women (total 5 bowler pattern 3 2 2 2 1).
17.Maximum five fielders allowed on the leg side excluding bowler.
18.Bi-runners are not allowed, at worst case if player is injured, player should be
retired out.
19.Substitute fielder from other teams is Strictly prohibited if the team have 11
players.
20.Retired-hurt persons can play again after fall of 2 wickets.
21.If a match gets tied there will be super over (1 over match, with max runs
deciding the winner with three batsman). If super over is also tied, then we
will go for another super over – If again tied will be decided based on run rate.
22.LBW / Leg Bye are excluded, and Byes / Overthrow are included.
23.Wide’s (1 run 1 extra ball), No ball (1run 1 extra ball (free hit).
24.In anyone of team women employee is not available/absence for the match,
additional 10 runs will be given which will be summed up in the total score to
opponent team and they must play with only 10 players and women 1 over
will be reduced for the team.
25.All teams should give their playing eleven list, 15 minutes prior to the match.
26.Neutral Umpires will be officiating for the entire tournament & their decision
will be final.
27.Players should behave decently in the ground.
28.Except captains and vice captains, no one can speak with the umpires in case
of any issue.
29.If the team is not ready to play at the scheduled time / or absence of minimum
8 players, opponent will be declared as winner for the match.
30.If both team is not ready to play at the scheduled time / or absence of
minimum 8 players, will wait 15min and reduce the match overs as per the
remaining match time.
