Cambridge United, Tape Ball Cricket Tournament Rules !!
● Qualifying round matches will be 7 overs each.
● Final 10 overs each.
● Pool match winner gets 2 points for each win
● Top 2 teams based on points go into the final.
○ If points are same then team with higher run rate is ahead in table.
○ If averages are equal then coin toss will be used as tie breaker.
● Final ties get super over for deciding Winner, if super over ties then toss decides winner.
● All extras are included.
● Playing 11 must be announced before the start of each match.
● The deadline to register a 12 member Squad for the tournament is midnight between
Friday and Saturday.
● Umpire decision will be final.
● Any kind of argument/threat/harassment to Umpire or with other
team(s)/organizers/players will lead to disqualification from tournament.
● Tournament organizers reserves the right to change any schedule and rule where
appropriate need is deemed.
● If fielder catches the ball at the boundaries he has to wait for Umpire calls before move
otherwise it won't consider for catch ( just wait till Umpire look at it and call for signal )
● Minimum 5 bowlers must be used, limit per bowler is max 2.
● Boundary rule.
○ All around 4s and 6s, except the designated area behind the keeper gives 2 runs
if the marked line is crossed.
