MSD CUP-2025 Season IV

Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament Rules & Regulations:

1. All matches would be of knockout basis and this tournament would be played with Green Wilson Tennis ball

2. Mandatory - All the teams should provide the 15 members team players list before the toss time. Please note only that 15 members will be allowed to play till the finals and if any new players added, then those players are not allowed to play. 

3. It will be 7 overs match per side. Each innings would start with a new ball. In case a ball is being lost or broken, replacement balls would be provided as per requirement.

4. Bowling restrictions: Mandatory 5 bowlers should be utilized for all the matches 

5. One bouncer is allowed per over, if 2nd bouncer then it is called as No ball.

6. Bowler should tell the bowling guard, and it is mandatory. Else it will be a No ball.

7. Power Play:

 First 2 overs are mandatory power play (If 8 overs or 7 overs).

 Only 2 players can field outside the 30-yard circle during power play overs.

8. During the non-power play overs minimum of 4 fielders should be present within the 30-yard circle, failure to do so during a delivery of a ball would be called as a No-ball by the umpire.

9. Match Duration: Each inning must be completed in 40 minutes, and the inning break is 5 minutes. I request the team captain to maintain the timings else 1 players should come inside the 30-yard circle.

10. The team should report 40 minutes prior to the scheduled match start time. 

The toss would be held 15 minutes before the match starts at the scheduled time.

11. On-field umpire’s decision would be the final one. If any issue with umpire decision, our committee team will decide. And only Caption should come and discuss.

12. Captain’s responsibility to uphold spirit of the game by his team.

13. In case of a tie, then super over will be held.

14. If match is stopped due to rain, next it will be continued from where the match was stopped. If the pitch is damped and worst, then we might be changing the pitch.

15. Mankad rules: No Action is required from the bowler, Bowler can hit the stumps in any ways, If the non-striker is out of his crease while the time of play expected to release the ball and the non-striker is liable to be run out.(This Mankad rule is decided by the MSD committee, so no reference will be considered from any cricketing rules)

16. All “no-balls” result will be a free hit in the next delivery.

17. Only 5 fielders will be allowed on the leg side excluding the bowler and keeper. If the 6th fielder is placed (bowler & keeper excluded) then it can be called a No-Ball irrespective of whether bowler is bowling over or around.

18. New batsman should be on strike while wicket is gone.

19. While bowlers are bowling, fielder should not talk or side walking. If anything noticed by umpire, then it will be called as No ball.

20. Keeper change is not mandatory.

21. Any issues while playing, only captain should come and talk.

22. No bye runner is allowed, if any genuine injury, then they can check with the opponent team and if they agree then they can take.

23. Request all the team to pay the full match fee before the Toss.
